The Holy Land tour of Nordlingen, the original town of the anime "Attacking Giant"

The anime "Attacking Giant" animation is over! Today, in order to recall this animation, I want to give you a small town located in Germany, which is said to be one of the prototype inspiration of the giant, attracting a lot of giant fans to punch!

It's just like the one in the giant! It was a shock to climb the tower and see the map and overlook the town, completely immersed in tourism.

I took the train from Munich's main station to nordlingen in about two hours (a direct search of the place would be). You'll see it five or ten minutes down the right from the train station. I bought a bayern ticket that allowed me to travel on trains other than ICE (I'm not sure if the German monthly pass is free). You need to change trains, and when you take the train, you must pay attention to whether you are sitting in the car that will reach your destination, because the train will split at a certain station in the middle. Check your return train before you go.

The town is built on a crater, which itself seems like a fictional setting (the town also has a meteorite museum, which you can check out if you're interested, which I did, but I don't understand). From the little town you could see the walls around you, the plains beyond them, and the forest. Both the architectural style and the geographical layout are very similar to the scene of giants. When I climbed to the top of the tower to overlook, the sky suddenly changed and the wind and rain began to blow, and I looked at the forest in the distance.

The mechanical device of the wooden structure in the tower is also very reminiscent of the three-dimensional mobile device, and the message book is basically the message of the giant powder. But what is more interesting is that the local residents do not seem to know their town's connection with the giant, or even the existence of the giant, which makes people feel like this is the outcome of the parallel world of the giant in the real world.

📍 Nordlingen

📖 Mini-science Popularization Time:
Nordlingen is a city in Bavaria, southern Germany. Built on top of a crater created by a huge meteorite that fell some 15 million years ago, Nordlingen is protected by a circular wall that retains a strong medieval feel, really like the feeling inside a giant wall!

Punch in tips:

🔹Nordlinger Stadtmauer

Built in the 13th century and one of the best preserved medieval walls in Europe, the wall encircles the entire old town of Nordlingen, almost the entire wall can be reached on foot, and the passageway is covered. There's a sidewalk to walk around! The entire medieval Nordlingen city centre is 2.7 km long. The city wall consists of five gates, twelve towers, the Casar Gate, and a fortress.

🔹Leopsinger Gate Tower

The tower is one of the city's most popular tourist destinations. Perched atop a hill in the center of town, the top floor of the tower offers panoramic views of the city and is a popular spot for photos. It really feels like you can see the stereoscopic maneuvers flying around here. Access to the top tower houses a small museum with panoramic views of the city's historic siege in the 1600s, ancient brass spires, helmets and more.

🔹Bavarian Railway Museum

The Bavarian Railway Museum displays more than 100 original vehicles, including steam locomotives, making it a great place to visit for steam locomotive enthusiasts. There's a lot going on at the Bavarian Railway Museum's Steam Days in autumn. Club members use their museum to convey an authentic railway atmosphere. A small steam locomotive diverts the exhibits from the engine shed, so they move around all day. Large steam locomotives were prepared and trips into the surrounding area were provided. Exciting information is provided during the trip and the barbecue stands have delicious steak sandwiches. What we liked best was that there was smoke and steam and hissing everywhere. A museum that keeps locomotives running, rather than just displaying them and letting them collect dust.

🔹Kriegerbrunnen

This is a beautiful fountain in the center of the city, surrounded by many small shops, can be said to be both easy to photograph and easy to visit. It is surrounded by beautiful "half-timbered" buildings that are worth taking pictures of.

ps: If you are a giant fanatic, you can bring cosplay costumes or some small accessories to take photos here, really super atmosphere! There are many places here have the footprints of giant fans, and you can explore them slowly!

About accommodation, I would like to plant grass for you a [Airbnb] home here, the location is good, very convenient to play!

🏠 : Newly renovated & luxurious flat next to city wall
