Agatha wrote her novel Death on the Nile here! We checked into the same hotel!

Travel around the world for D60-62 days to Aswan, the most southern part of Egypt. To be honest, I really don't recommend coming in the summer. It's still 43 degrees at sunset.

🌟 Abu Simbel Temple:

There are many temples in Egypt, and this place is chosen for a legend: it is said that the sun can pass through the long hall and illuminate the idol twice a year, although I know that I can't see it, but it attracts me like some kind of gravity.

Abu Simbel Temple is 8 hours from the city of Aswan, many people choose to give up because of the distance! But I think Abu Simbel is the architectural ceiling of all the ancient Egyptian temples!

Abu Simbel Temple was built 3,400 years ago, and all the deities and murals were hewn out of a mountain, which was an architectural miracle of the year! Because the construction of the Aswan High Dam changed the course of the Nile, what we see now is the original moved in 1964, broken up into small pieces and collaged on a new mountain. It was moved 200 meters inward and 63 meters higher.

In my opinion, other temples in Egypt have been seriously damaged, so Abu Simbel Temple is a complete and magnificent temple that cannot be missed. We are chartered from Aswan, 9-seat air-conditioned car, very new, 4800 pounds, but may be expensive, if it is a 4-seat car may be 2400 pounds is enough, but it should be noted that the cars here are quite old, 4 people should be very crowded, not suitable for long distance.

If we leave at four o 'clock in the morning, we may catch up with the tour group, we are starting at 7:30, and we have not been particularly hot after arriving, but we met the European tour group, the overall people are not too much, and the tour experience is better. How to take a picture without people? The first is to get up relatively early, neither too hot nor to avoid some people; The second is to use a long lens, avoid the entrance passage of the plane: in Aswan is better, Abu Simbel Temple did not encounter any one dollar, go to the bathroom to 10 pounds, you can change, but it is recommended to prepare change, the bathroom is very clean.

It was built by Ramses II of the 19th Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. We chartered a bus, leaving at 4:00 in the morning, 7 hours round trip, but it was still my most amazing and favorite temple on this trip! And Abu Simbel itself is full of stories.

There are four stone statues in the inner hall of ABU Simbe: from left to right, Ptah (God of darkness), Amun (God of the sun), Ramses II (God of God), and Harahti (God of protection). Every year on February 22 and October 22 (the birthday and coronation of Ramses II), the sun shines through the temple gate and illuminates the three stone statues in the temple, in addition to the God of Darkness! At the time of the temple's relocation, in order to preserve this miracle, modern science and various actuarial calculations, the final day of sunlight is still one day earlier. You can imagine how developed ancient Egypt was in astronomical and calendar mathematics for more than 3,000 years!

🌟Sofitel Legendary Old Falls

Located in Aswan, Egypt, and one of only five legendary Sofitel hotels in the world, this Old Waterfall hotel attracted me enough to add it to my travel itinerary. Let's just say that without this hotel, I would not have known the city of Aswan, we all know the Nile, but did not know that this hotel is the best view of the Nile!

Built in 1899, the hotel offers the best views of the Nile River. Not only did Churchill stay here, but Death on the Nile was filmed here, Agatha got her idea for the book, and we watched the movie before we went.

This time, I lived in the new building and the old building with my friends

The old building is the original building, the floor is very high, and each room has retained the mini bar of that year. If you book a more expensive river view room, the outside balcony is especially beautiful, with chaise loungers facing the Nile. The new building is better than the hotel + Nile (I shot the new building), if you are assigned to the 3-4 floor, it will be more beautiful. When we went there was a free room tour every day at 6pm, but I had a very mediocre experience with too many people. (Visit Churchill/Agatha's room if it is not booked).

Breakfast at the beautiful 1902 restaurant, listen to me, go for mango juice, you get the pulp in every bite, very rich and delicious. This omelette and Benedict really made it.

Overall, the history of the hotel itself and its location (ideal for viewing the beautiful Nile River) make it a stop not to be missed. The hotel is really ceiling level, full of aristocratic old money style, the hotel staff are very friendly. We drank wine at the Bar to watch the sunset (the scenery is better) and then went to the restaurant for dinner, 2 bottles of beer + a sausage and a roast chicken, 200+ RMB, or very suitable!

🌟 Nile Sunset Sailboat

250 pounds an hour, a person 20 yuan can float on the Nile boat for an hour, really cost-effective, cool breeze on the river at seven o 'clock, very comfortable, recommended experience! Spend 200egp to experience a Nile sailing sunset that you can remember forever!
