Finnish museum, a pop-up book!

⭕️ Design Museum of Finland

The Design Museum, located in the design district of Helsinki, is an internationally recognized national design museum in Finland and one of the earliest visual design museums in the history of the world. Formerly a school, the museum was designed by architect Gustav Nystrom.

As a museum with 144 years of history, it is like a three-dimensional book. The collection includes more than 75,000 designs, 45,000 paintings and 125,000 photographs. Exhibitions dedicated to Finnish and international design, including industrial design, fashion and graphic design. The Design Museum is an internationally recognized national design museum in Finland. 📖

A total of two floors, the first floor is mainly some product design exhibition, as well as LEGO DIY what (three foreign little brother in the fight of the hahaha haha is really a man to death is a teenager), the second floor is more like an art museum, there are a lot of do not understand the device, there are some physical exhibition can be touched. The whole floor inexplicably has a meat bun smell, go in hungry...

The whole thing is not big, you can go around in 20 minutes, but there's a lot of commentary, videos, you can stay a long time if you really watch it, and Lego.

⭕️ Finnish Architectural Museum

In Helsinki, there is a professional architectural museum - the Finnish Architectural Museum. The Architecture Museum was established in 1956 and is the second oldest architecture museum in the world. The Finnish Architecture Museum has a large collection of archival pictures of buildings, about 100,000 prints and 30,000 slides, about 300,000 original drawings of Finnish architects, as well as some models representing architectural works.

Interestingly, it was originally established as an academic exchange between architects and urban planners. The original exhibits mainly came from architectural drawings collected by the Finnish Architectural Association, some of which became private collections in the museum... Architects and interior designers must go. Closed on Mondays.

⭕️ Finnish Museum of Natural History

Part of the University of Helsinki, this natural history museum dates back to the 17th century and was formerly the university's Botanical Garden.

There are four floors. It takes a long time to really walk around. But most of the exhibition does not have an English introduction (there should be a separate English booklet, but it is not found in the exhibition area), look a little confused.

The action of the animal specimen and the design of the scene are very vivid! Most of them have a clear movement such as hunting, running and so on, and there will be some corresponding herbs, woody plants and litter in the scene, feeling that they are trying to restore the natural environment.

Museum insect area can choose to carry the insect backpack to see the exhibition, the children are turned into small insects, very cute!! There are many children and big friends in sketching! Go paint next time.
