The Moomin, from the Fairy Hat by ToveJansson and LarsJansson (1940), looks like a hippopotamus, but is not a hippopotamus, nor an animal, but a fairy.
The Moomin live in "Moomin Valley," a place surrounded by mountains, and Jeju Island's environment is very similar to the Moomin Valley.
moomin is a forest from Finland. Tove Jansson, a Finnish painter, cartoon illustrator and writer, is Moomin's mother.
Moomin lives in the fairy tale full of love and tolerance between the sea and the forest, the warm animal world, inadvertently scattered the subtle truth of interpersonal relationship, but also peaceful pursuit of the truth of the universe.
Moomin's ideals are very high, welcome to the world of Moomin!
The protagonist of Moomin Valley, lovely and naive, like adventure, "to be a man who protects weak women" Moomin has always wanted to be such a person. That's why he's willing to do stupid things for Koni. Duels, bandits, anything. Moomins who strive towards their ideals even when they are not understood by those around them.
If you like Moomins, this warm and healing museum 💙 is highly recommended
The museum tells the creation background of the Moomin creator "Toph Jansson", the role introduction of the Moomin family and its good friends, the precious manuscript of the painter and the model restoration of the Moomin village, as well as the illustrated books of the Moomin in different languages, and many local people bring their children to tell them stories.
There is a big lawn in front of the Moomin Museum, there is a lake nearby, a lot of people picnicking, painting 🖼️ and happens to meet the 🌈 festival, there is also a small 🌈 music festival.
In the first ticket, student price 7 euros/person, ordinary 14.5 euros/person, do not need to show the residence card, tell her that you are a student. It's a nice ticket. It's memorable. Once you have your ticket, a staff member will direct you to the Moomin Museum. (Picture 1️⃣ Picture 2️⃣ shows the entrance of the museum)
After that is the viewing section, attached a few pictures, I think the exhibits of Moomin Christmas tree and Moomin house is very special impression. There is also a small studio inside the museum, visitors can paint free on the wall of the studio, but come early, 16:00 closed, feel very commemorative significance.
When I came to this museum, I knew:
Moomin Dad is actually a "cheating and womanizing man", childish and adventurous, he once abandoned the Moomin mother and Moomin, and went on his own adventure. Growing up in an orphanage, he had a Bohemian soul. Fortunately, the Moomin mother has been considerate to take care of the Moomin.
🎀 Moomin is genderless, but does have a girlfriend, Gori (who looks just like Moomin but has bangs).
🌲 Slim, Moomin's best friend, also likes adventure and wandering. Every winter, he leaves the Moomin Valley to spend the winter in a warm place and returns in the spring. What he said was always philosophical:
“Don’t worry we shall have wonderful dreams, and when we wake up. It’ll be spring”
