The German State Museum in Nuremberg
The Germanisches Nationalmuseum, which showcases the national wisdom of German-speaking nations, is so large that it can take most of the day to walk through it. Due to time constraints, I only saw various sculptures and paintings this time. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to see the parts related to the history of science, and even the parts related to art history were far from finished. Come back and spend a whole day here.
A must visit to Nuremberg is the German State Museum, a truly five-star museum. The historical development of the Germanic people for thousands of years is introduced, from archaeology to art to religion to music to folklore; After five hours of shopping there's a lot left to look at. The Chinese audio guide is also very good and highly recommended! Saw a lot of Durer and Cranach greatly satisfied.
The part of this museum that impresses me most and shocks my soul most is the variety of women in these works of art, whether it is Saint Galena who marries the divine Son with secret, the powerful Germanian goddess, the noble and quiet Virgin Mary, the evil charm and charming Salome, the sad and martyred Saint Ursula in Cologne, Or Venus, the voluptuous goddess of love and beauty...
These stunning and powerful female portraits show the world how women shape the spirit of civilization and progress with their innate charm. Walking around the whole circle, these women have a feast feeling almost like Walpugis Nacht (Night of Walpugis) in Faust through the beauty of various artistic forms and colors distributed over thousands of years.
The engravings in the last reveal the inextricable connection between biblical women (including Eve and Judith, who cut the head of Holofernes) and the seven liberal arts, It also reflects how the divine feminine power became the inner driving force of human civilization and progress (the theme of divine association between Divine Feminine power and the seven arts is common in German traditional art, and there is a relief in Frankfurt's Ancient Sculpture Museum showing how the goddess Minerva guided the seven arts).
But I really like the Nuremberg Library
A free space with piano to step on, multilingual children's books to read, vinyl CDS to listen to, climbing up and down the reading area! In every city, I make it a habit to check out three places: the library, the park, and the supermarket. I went to Nuremberg in May to meet friends, and after dinner, I walked around and found the municipal library, and I said I'd go in and have a look. Because the Rotterdam Library experience was pretty good, but this is even more fun.
What impressed me most was the multilingual children's books, which are not easy for immigrants to buy books in their native language (it is difficult to buy Chinese books overseas!). And children are at an age when they most need books, not screens, to grow up with. Basically, European languages are covered, and the Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, and South Korea) for adults are mainly language learning and reference books.
The Walking Piano is completely silent, and skipping does not affect people around, you need to borrow headphones at the front desk to hear. There's also a piano with headphones nearby to play. I like to see a lot in the record shelf, the previous years to buy back the disc, for the local residents is just to go to the library to apply for a card. Very envious! What is more admirable is that there is such a modern, intellectual space that meets the needs of all.
Nuremberg is a nice little place to visit on the weekend
Nuremberg 🇩🇪 Super distinctive elbow and sausage ️
Some time ago, I went to Nuremberg with my friends and found in the little red book that this shop has a long history! Got off the train and rushed over here!
Pork elbow is delicious!! It's not boring at all! It tastes better than the roast. It's not dirty! I love it! With potato salad! Even better!Does the sausage feel like smoke? You can taste that. It's a little salty, but it's delicious.
Love to eat another plate of sausage! It's cold, and the magic sauce underneath is delicious! A little sour and spicy! I feel like I'm eating Asian food. This is so good!!
The taste is good, but the staff is a bit of a mess
You never leave a tip and you keep looking bad
