This is a family-owned organic sheep farm near the city of Jyvaskyla in central Finland, about 3.5 hours by train from Helsinki. Animal care, gardening, housework, building/repairing fences, etc., live and work with the farmer to experience authentic Nordic family farm life.

There are also horses, cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits and dogs on the farm. In addition to the production of wool and meat, the farm also carries out social farming and invites visitors to stay and visit the farm. The farmer will provide accommodation and animal experiences.

The farm is located on the edge of the lake, so you have the freedom to use rowboats, canoes and paddle surfboards, and most importantly, the traditional Finnish sauna and swimming in the lake. The farmer will also take you for a campfire barbecue by the lake or in the cabin. They prefer to cook with products from their own farms. Carriage or horse rides are also offered.

The farm hosts guests with social and psychological disabilities on a daily basis and offers animal healing. You are also welcome to participate and find inner peace and tranquility through interaction with animals.

The farm has traditional family animals: mini pigs, goats, cows, chickens, rabbits and horses. Many of the animals are traditionally native to Finland, such as Oland sheep, Finnish goats and Finnish cattle. It's not that big. Two hours just fine, but of course I like the little farm cafe. There are many children on the farm.... Find a comfortable place to sit, bask in the sun, look at the small animals are also comfortable, Finland summer saturation is too high, good love.

There is also a wool art studio on the farm, where wool can be used to make felt, blankets, fabrics, ornaments and other handicrafts. You can learn about the processing of wool and different felting techniques. The farmer will take you to gather plants from the surrounding area and use them to dye yarn.

The accommodation is in a spacious wooden loft next to the farm. This experience program is for those who like to experience farm work with animals on the farm and want to really understand the Finnish way of life.

🐑 Experience Activities:

  • Try a variety of simple farm tasks: animal care and feeding, gardening, renovating/repairing fences, milking cows, sorting wool, herding sheep
  • Nordic experience: traditional Finnish sauna and lake swimming, canoeing on the lake, picking berries and mushrooms, hiking in the forest, horse riding.
  • Cooking Finnish food with the farmer
  • Lakeside bonfire barbecue, barbecue by the lakeside bonfire or barbecue hut for a warm Nordic evening.
  • Learn wool craft making (felt/weaving), learn wool processing, spinning and plant dyeing to create unique handicrafts and unleash your creativity!

The farm is in a great location in Finland and the chance of auroras is very high! Imagine relaxing in the warmth and relaxation of farm life during the day, and then sitting by the farm fire watching the aurora dance in the night sky at night.

📌 Note: The farm offers bed, breakfast and lunch. In the evening, guests have access to the kitchen and ingredients, or sometimes they can cook dinner with the farmer.
