🔺 Birdman Rally

One of the essential events of the Moomba Festival is the funny Birdman Gliding Rally. In this lively competition, participants wear fancy clothes and their homemade flying devices before leaping off a 4-meter platform along the Yarra River to see who can fly the furthest. Basically, it only takes a few seconds to fall into the water, which is very funny.

During the Moomba Festival, fireworks will be lit on the banks of the Yarra River at 9pm every day. A dazzling display of fireworks is one of the highlights of the annual Moomba Festival, lighting up the city's night sky.

🔺 Moomba Parade

The float parade is the final highlight of the Moomba Festival and the performance that cannot be missed throughout the festival. 1,800 performers from community groups and dance troupes, eight floats and four large puppets sang and danced together.

In addition to activities for all ages, there will be plenty of food and drink on sale during the Moomba Festival, with more than 30 food trucks serving everything from burgers and grilled chicken to twisting potatoes and doughnuts.
