The pink and blue ceramic town on Italy's Amalfi Coast is fantastic!

A beautiful town on Italy's must-see Amalfi coast, perfect for a day trip.

📍Vietri sul Mare

Littoral Vietri is a very distinctive seaside town, although there are only a few thousand people, but it has created a beautiful city full of totems.

Often translated as "Vietli Sumare" or "Vietli on the Sea", it is the easternmost town on the Amalfi coast, not far from Salerno, and is famous for its pottery business. Due to its convenient location, it has become a stop for many tourists.

Vietri Maritimes was the cradle of Italian ceramics, known as enamels.

Although enamelled ceramics are sold throughout the Amalfi Coast, it is the artisans of Vietri Maritimes who have truly taken the century-old colorful style and adapted it to contemporary tastes, making ceramic vases, bowls, plates and indoor and outdoor decorations, among others.

The town is known as the "first pearl of the Amalfi Coast" because of its location, and while not as well known as Positano and Amalfi, it is a little treasure chest of secrets that can be found on foot and is well worth exploring.

The ceramics here are purely handmade, and the freehand paintings completed by artisans with a lot of time, care and high skill are often more delicate, and will bring more beautiful and more gorgeous decoration. Some works even complete the combination of freehand painting and hollow painting.

The ceramic patterns and designs of Vietri Maritimes perfectly reflect the Mediterranean lifestyle along the Amalfi Coast. Sunflowers, lemons, grapes and beautiful scenery make the glaze more elegant.

The shops here are also dominated by China shops. Whether you want a whole set or just a small souvenir, the ceramics here will be a choice for the perfect Italian souvenir.

Even the porcelain shop facade is decorated with ceramics, which is also a scenic spot in Vietri Maritimes.

🚗 Transportation:

1, from Salerno, only 1 stop and 4 minutes by train; You can also take the Sita Bus, which takes about 15 minutes.
