I'd call it Iceland's best niche experience ️ No export of thoroughbred horses!

Every time I go to Iceland, I look forward to seeing Icelandic horses on the side of the road, flowing bangs, short body, especially curious about people, when I see passers-by stop, I will run over and stick.

As a BMW in Norse mythology, the Icelandic horse is known as a "horse that can cross flames." About 1,200 years ago, the Vikings came to live in Iceland and brought many horses with them, becoming the ancestors of the Icelandic horse. The Icelandic horse is called "Faci" in Icelandic, which means "eye-catching mane". It has to do with his Mate-killing look, which has a long mane, cute appearance, and a smooth gait.

🐎 where can I ride a horse

1️⃣ near the Golden Circle, suitable for a day tour of the Golden Circle, directly report a group can also;

2️⃣ Black Beach horseback riding, suitable for self-drive, on the way to Ice Lake and Diamond Beach. We were riding on the black sand beach in the town of Vic, walking on the black sand and feeling the endless sea and stone pillars.

3️⃣ Lei city suburb riding, suitable for people who do not want to run too far without driving. You can walk through moss-covered lava fields to see the Lu ice flowers bloom in summer and the snow-capped mountains wreathed in winter

Icelandic horses are a true pure-bred specialty, not allowed to be exported (racing horses are not allowed to return after leaving the country), can only be seen in Iceland, and there are unique five paces, riding Icelandic horses across the plains is also the most worthwhile activity in Iceland ️

The whole ride was very smooth and fun, there were tutors who would teach riding tricks, and it was carried out in small classes, we were not more than 10 people this time, there were many ponies to choose from, they were really cute!!

This partner who was on the journey with me, he was very good and worked very hard.

When we want to trot, it is really hard to run, not lazy, so that several times I really feel almost lost balance, feel almost fell off the horse 🥲 Fortunately, the teacher meeting to stop, let me readjust the posture, and then continue to let the horse speed up.

The funny thing is, my friend said that the pony she chose would be lazy, and when the big troops were speeding up, the pony would only jog, and when the instructor came, the horse would pretend to run a few times, and then continue to jog, which was really funny.

The owners tell us that Icelandic horses are small and long-haired, super docile and humane. But Icelanders don't like to be called "ponies." Interestingly, in order to maintain pedigree and prevent disease, any Icelandic horses that leave Iceland are not allowed to return!

I was very nervous at first, because I had never ridden a horse myself, but in fact, there was no need to worry about the owner of the horse will follow me, so they will solve any problems for us immediately!

Icelandic horses are short, docile and very easy to handle. The scenery along the way is open, cycling for an hour is very enjoyable, the whole mood is released. It's a very different riding experience than anywhere else.

Remember that the temperature was below zero and the scenery was beautiful. It was perfect except for the cold feet that hurt when I got off the horse. If you go to play in winter, be sure to keep your feet warm! It was really beautiful along the way and luckily we went to see the snowy mountains just before the eruption of the Icelandic volcano.

Riding in the snow is really the most romantic and profound memory of 2023 💓.
