Glacier hike, meet the Blue world!

Blue ice cave and glacier hiking wear is best down jacket or storm jacket, coat is beautiful, but with the outdoor hiking style may be a little different, black beach can wear black or white coat.

⛰️ Blue Ice Cave

The guide drove to a point where he had to get off and transfer to an SUV. Do a very bumpy ride for about 30 minutes, get out, put on your helmet and crampons, and walk for 10 minutes to the entrance to the ice cave.

Off-road vehicles are very bumpy and shaking, it is best to sit in front of the car will not be sick, sit behind the whole person to fly up, walk that 10 minutes to climb the slope, very tired! It's very, very windy, very cold, and you have to wear a lot. When you go into the blue ice cave, it's not cold at all, because there's no wind. The cave is very beautiful. On a sunny day, you can see the bright blue ice. But the feeling of the ice cave is not very big, about half an hour in the inside to come out, and then to take the SUV back

⛰️ Glacier Hike

Start hiking! About half an hour to walk in, into the Vatnajokull glacier (guide brother gave us popular science Vatnajokull Glacier is the third largest glacier in the world, the first is the Antarctic glacier, the second is the Greenland glacier.

Before entering the glacier, the guide guides us to put on the big crampon, and we were really shocked when we walked up the glacier and saw several moulins, which from the ground are glacier POTS, which are deep pits slowly formed by melting water flowing down the glacier's crevices.

Then we followed the pre-arranged ropes into one of the moulin, feeling that we were entering a pure blue world, the overall climbing intensity was not too much, it was safe with the help of the rope, and we saw that our guide brother had also used an ice chisel to trim the ice steps going down to facilitate the next hike group.

After leaving moulin, we went to two ice caves (neither on the glacier, on the edge of the glacier, before we went, we replaced the small crampon at the mouth of the cave). The first ice cave was very dark, but the long exposure photos were still very interesting. In a chamber, the guide brother asked us to turn off the phone and turn off the lights, and quietly listen to the sound of the water in the ice cave under the pale blue light. The second ice cave is brighter and has a beautiful entrance.

But the experience of entering moulin and hiking on the glacier is even more impressive than seeing the Blue Ice Cave! In the case of time and physical strength, it is recommended to go for a walk, which is difficult to give the experience elsewhere!

⛰️ Black Beach

Diamond Beach and Black Beach are not the same. Black beach has no ice. With the waves crashing onto the black sand and huge rocks beside them, it feels like the end of the world. Diamond Beach is so beautiful! How can there be such a beautiful place in the world, to Iceland these days are all sunny, no wind when the weather is fantastic, the sun really feel the diamond beach in the shining, encountered piles of piles of big blue ice stranded on the beach, too beautiful!!! There are always some surprises in the journey, looking along the coastline, inadvertently turn around and see a huge love diamond, thanks to the gift of nature!
