Everyone in Britain has hobbies that are picked up out of boredom!

The UK is a place that can get boring if you don't take the initiative to explore it. When reading in the village good mountains good water good lonely, work after work time is easy to be exhausted do not know what to do.

Friends who are energetic and healthy have a common denominator, that is, there are some hobbies that can let themselves sink into, such as outdoor sports, fitness, cooking, reading, and watching opera and stage plays, which can make full use of good resources and significantly improve the quality of life.

Other hobbies that currently bring me a lot of fun and happiness in my life are:

1️⃣ Art History:

I was interested in art but not passionate enough to pursue a degree, so I took advantage of the great wealth of art in the UK and Europe to develop a second subject on my own.

2️⃣ philately:

Because of my last job, I had a deep understanding of the British postal system, postal history and stamp issuance, and found it very interesting. Then I began to collect stamps issued by different countries in different periods, including but not limited to post offices, charity shops, flea markets and eBay, and went on trips to buy local seasonal stamps and send postcards home.

3️⃣ Plants:

Because WFH spends more time at home, it is even more lawless to buy plants. The home is occupied by green plants, and the balcony is full of flower POTS.

Occasionally some places hold large gardening shows and go back to carry something home, which is more and more. Every time the plant shoots, it will feel a sense of accomplishment, and it is very comfortable to look at the green color after staring at the computer for a long time.

4️⃣ Listen to vinyl:

The UK is too good for pit vinyl. The culture is deep, the community is mature, you can find a good record store in any city, and there are many new and used record stores. And there are so many awesome shopkeepers, you can find them in any small, obscure country.

5️⃣ making coffee:

a little hesitant to write it, after all, in the UK you say that you "learned to make coffee at home" is like saying "learned to grind soybean milk at home", but since the beginning of contact with coffee so far, a lot of knowledge has been gained, and the quality of coffee is becoming more and more stable, and now can be used to entertain friends.

In my opinion, once I have these stable things in my life that I enjoy and can improve my life quality, I will get closer and closer to the ideal work life balance. After all, there are so many fun things to do after work, who needs to worry about work!
