More shocking than those Internet celebrity places - Thailand Contemporary Art Museum

I visited a lot of museums, art galleries, and also went to the Bangkok Culture and Art Center, which has been evaluated well on the Internet, but the Culture and Art Center is really a very popular place, suitable for the kind of random walk in just to take photos. In addition to the works of the two small exhibition halls on the second floor, I feel like playing house. There is a sense of the speed and flood of going online to download and print it out, without even feeling that it is a real work.

But it does have some performance art, including a performance art video by Yoko Ono. Most of the performance art in it is realistic and ironic, which requires a certain ability to watch.

As a person who goes everywhere to see, crazy museums, galleries, even the Bangkok Museum of Modern Art has been caught out, after all, it is a little remote, it is generally very difficult to find. The Museum of Contemporary Art is an art gallery in the outskirts of Bangkok, not far from the Chatuchak Weekend market, which is a very distinctive art gallery.

📍 Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA BANGKOK)

I have to say that the works in the Museum of Modern Art really amaze me, every piece of work is amazing! Walking in front of it will take a breath, wow, this is the real work! Even for artists, this is a place worth visiting.

A step into the high and deep space, the diamond-shaped window size is different, like falling snow, light through the window projected on the white wall, and the wall is written "life is short, art is long."

The building space and layout are well designed, air-conditioned, quiet and comfortable. It's so beautiful for photos. If you are with children, you can try to choose simple and bright works to watch, and you can easily kill a half day.

The gallery won the 2014 Architecture Award. On the facade, the prismatic lattice window with jasmine flower stems as the literature and science is commensurate with the installation of the outdoor lotus pool, which is very artistic.

20,000 square meters, more than 800 pieces of fine art, flat paintings and three-dimensional sculptures mix and match to create an immersive art space. Not only do I immerse myself in the appreciation of art, but many of my works are also thought-provoking.

There are 5 floors, spanning 6 eras, each floor has a different theme, there are modern art, there are a lot of stories about Thai history and mythology, there are many Buddhist theme works, strong color impact, there are many sculptures, are very design sense and creative. It has to be said that Thai art is too advanced, and the works of artists at each stage have their own characteristics. The colors are very strong and very interesting to me. Printmaking, sculpture, installation, oil painting, photography, line manuscript, culture, history, mythology and religion converge in this whole modern society. For those who like culture and art, this is the perfect spot.

I was impressed:

Go up to the second floor for a large collection of exquisite Ramayana masks, pullovers used in Thai Kung opera, and shadow puppets from all over Southeast Asia. The fourth floor is dedicated to Thawan Duchanee, a Thai national treasure artist with a strong style reminiscent of Chinese painting and calligraphy. There's also a special section, which starts with walking through a tunnel and seeing three giant paintings. It is said that through the cosmic tunnel, to heaven, earth and hell, three works by three different artists completed, very shocking. Another feature is a sitting wooden chair. It is both a functional chair and a work of art, each different and created by a Thai artist.

A coffee and souvenir shop is located on the ground floor. Coffee with light snacks and drinks, outdoor seating is recommended, the space atmosphere view and rest time is well worth the ticket price.
