Walking around a retro town with a story - Lyon

Old town

Lyon's Old Town is one of the largest Renaissance buildings in Europe and has been inscribed on the World Heritage List. Stroll the cobblestone streets lined with well-preserved medieval buildings and old churches.

The old town has many interesting alleys and "Trables", hidden passageways through buildings that were once shortcuts for silk workers to transport cloth. You can visit historical buildings such as Lyon Cathedral and St. Jean's Baptistery here to feel the strong historical atmosphere.

The old Lyon area is well preserved from the Renaissance and is well worth a visit. It is a small alley in the old city of Lyon, which is actually the home of the residents inside, and some doors can be opened to open some areas for tourists to visit.

Most of them are hall lanes, where you go in through this door in one lane and you go out through another door in another lane. And it's really fun to find these doors in Old Lyon that you can push through.

Musee de Lyon

The Museum of Lyon is rated as one of the top ten art museums in the world, and its collection is quite rich, there are sculptures, ancient Egyptian and ancient Greek collections, and a small amount of fine porcelain, as well as various paintings. The collection is rich, covering many valuable works from ancient Egyptian to modern art.

It houses masterpieces by Rubens, Rembrandt and Delacroix, as well as a rich collection of sculptures, drawings and prints. The museum is located in a 17th-century monastery, and the building itself is a work of art. Whether you are an art lover or a casual visitor, the Musee de Lyon offers a profound cultural experience.

The advantage of visiting galleries in France is that it is easy to see familiar works by everyone, such as Gauguin, Monet, Renoir, Matisse, and so on in the Musee de Lyon. The museum as a whole is not too big, basically walk down for about half a day, you can also go to the new museum built by the river, it is also very interesting. The Lyon City Card, which includes transportation within 48 hours and admission to all museums, is recommended for short trips.

A vintage shop with a great atmosphere in Old Lyon

After dark, the store's dim lights and huge retro American posters make you want to go inside. Compared with other vintage shops, this one is obviously carefully managed and operated.

The display of all the goods seems random, but there is a special sense of harmony, just like the small warehouse of Grandma's home, you can always find some small things with a sense of time but full of memories.

Film cameras, assorted buttons, old poster magazines, brooches from the 90's, hair clips from the 50's, cigarette paper from the 30's, toys from the last century (still playable), and paper money from different decades and countries... It's fair to call it a little "living museum."

In addition to the real "old things", there are some antique new things, such as disposable film cameras and film camera shaped brooches. His family's main business areas are film cameras, Vintage and hardware parts. If you are interested in second-hand cameras or film, you can also go to his official website to see, there are many choices.
