Each of Wes Anderson's works is known for its strong symmetrical aesthetic and abstract geometric aesthetic style, which makes obsessive-compulsive patients and aesthetic seekers feel extremely comfortable, which also makes all of his works have a strong identity.
Wes Anderson is no longer just a person's name, but also a symbol of a unique aesthetic style.
In this context, Accidentally Wes Anderson (AWA) was born, a project started in 2017 to share photography themed content on social media, where users can share their accidental Wes Anderson-style photos.
It began as a personal travel wish list, but soon attracted the attention of photographers, travelers, and artists worldwide, eventually becoming a source of creative inspiration for many. The project excavates many often-overlooked sites with a sense of symmetry and color, such as magnificent old buildings, vintage train stations, cable cars and mountain houses, all of which are presented in soft tones and perfect symmetry.
Over the years, the project has amassed thousands of these delightful photographs, enough to publish a best-selling book and host several pop-up exhibitions.
Now Accidentally Wes Anderson is about to land in London for the longest-running exhibition to date!
Opening on 2023.12.8, the exhibition features more than 200 delightfully quirky photographs of real sites around the globe. The photos will be spread across seven rooms, each with a unique theme, including a room dedicated to photos taken in London!
Since The Grand Budapest Hotel, I have been particularly fond of Wes Anderson's film style, strong high-saturation colors, symmetrical pictures and absurd dramatic effects. Wes Anderson is hardly prolific, but he always makes movies that reflect his style.
This exhibition is a tribute to Wes Anderson by travelers from all over the world who bring their own perspective to his style, more than 200 shooting locations and seven different themes.
The whole exhibition venue is decorated very carefully, and each room will change the overall style according to the different theme. Interesting low circular door and strong color collision, many details accentuate the atmosphere is very in place.
While watching this exhibition, although the photos are very beautiful, I unconsciously feel a strong sense of loneliness. Maybe it's because the environments in these photos are very empty and there are very few people in them.
In general, especially recommended exhibition, like friends take the time to see oh!
Be sure to bring a camera (and of course a phone), as some rooms are designed as walk-in sets, offering a variety of photo opportunities! And, of course, at the gift shop, buy vintage stationery, postcards and Accidentally Wes Anderson books signed.
In short, everything here will have a wonderful sense of symmetry, will make you happy and comfortable!
