Life in the UK | Sheffield Travel Guide
Sheffield is a city with a distinctive character, and history has given it many names: university city, Steel City, billiard City, and creative industry city. During the last century, Sheffield was so synonymous with the British Steel industry that it earned the nickname "Steel City". The annual snooker competition held here has earned the city the title of the City of billiards. But because of its small area, many students jokingly call it "Xie Cun Er".
Let's walk into the "Xie Village", an article to take you to play all over Sheffield.
Chadworth Castle Estate
Chatsworth House was the setting for Darcy's House in the film Pride and Prejudice. Movie fanatics and Jane Austen fans must come.
Once the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, it has been passed down from generation to generation to become one of Britain's most prestigious estates. The estate has spectacular fountains, giant European-style sculptures, gardens and a waterfall that is more than 300 years old. The whole mansion has more than 30 rooms and a reception hall decorated with famous paintings, as well as exquisite murals. Successive owners have been lovers of art collecting, making the Darcy Estate one of the greatest art collections in Europe. Students who want to feel the classical British romance and experience traditional British culture should not miss it.
When I visited the house, I found that the so-called "wallpaper" of the walls used by their nobles at that time was made of leather. From the magnificent classical frescoes to the exquisite and stylish bed curtains, every piece of furniture and arrangement is worth looking at.
The Garden is very big! You can see the ice cream truck after coming out of the house, and rum flavors are highly recommended.
The Sheffield Winter Garden
The Sheffield Winter Garden is the largest greenhouse in the UK! The biggest! The garden building is 70 meters long and 22 meters high, and is a green world with more than 2,500 species of plants. The environment is fantastic and it has an ingenious horticultural design that has made it an award winner over the past 100 years.
It is said that the plants inside the greenhouse will be changed five times a year, and you can enjoy different scenery every season!
There is a cafe in the garden, which is a great place to take photos in your spare time! Adjacent to the Millennium Gallery, after visiting the gallery, you will directly enter the interior of the garden.
No matter what the season, you can come here to enjoy the feeling of being close to nature, or bring your friends to the garden for an afternoon tea is sure to be super enjoyable!

Half-day tour of the Alpaca estate in Sheffi
Look for the entrance: The entrance to this small zoo may be less conspicuous, so look for the small iron gate next to the call center.
Interactive experience: You can buy a bag of animal feed for 50p.
Play time: The zoo is not big, the play time is about 1 hour. If you want to take pictures, it may take up to 2 hours
Weather requirements: The zoo is located in the mountains, so it is best to choose a day with clear weather to avoid getting cold when the wind blows. There was a little rain on the way, and I was sheltering in a cabin
How to get there: It costs about 9 pounds to get there from Sheffi by Uber, which takes about 20 minutes.
Booking tickets: You can go directly to buy, very convenient! You can also call the official website in advance to make an appointment, one day in advance. Give your name at the front desk and you can exchange your tickets that day.
