When the sun absorbs time through the zodiac signs of Ram, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Lion, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, etc., each house takes 30 days to run, so there are twelve houses in a year. This lunar calculation method is influenced by India, and is widely used in some Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos.

April 13 is the "Maharsonkan Day" also known as the Thai New Year, when the sun moves from Pisces to Ram, and the Earth passes through the sun at a positive Angle, making the day and night equal in length.

The Songkran god has different names depending on which day the Songkran festival falls on each year: Tungsa on Sunday, Koraka on Monday, Raksos on Tuesday, Mondha on Wednesday, Kirinee on Thursday, Kimina on Friday, and Mahotorn on Saturday.

The Seven Songkran deities refer to the seven daughters of Maha Songkran who were responsible for taking care of their father's head placed on the Wanfah pedestal before he was beheaded because he could not correctly answer the question of Dharmakuma (Hindu god).

Before dying, Maha Songkran asked his seven daughters to place their heads in the place of heat - the pillar of the king.

If his head was placed on the earth, it would cause fire, drought, and even the water in the oceans would dry up, and the seven daughters would take turns to take care of their father's head every year.

Songkran has been an important festival to celebrate the Thai New Year since ancient times, symbolizing care, love and closeness with family, society and religion.

The family gathered here to pay respect to the elders in the family. The younger ones asked the elders to sprinkle water on their hands and pray for good luck. After that, they congratulated each other by accumulating virtue, contributing food to the monks, building a stupa, and spraying water.
