Australian wonder: A soaring water jet hole!

📍Kiama Blowhole

Kiama is definitely a relatively small fairy town around Sydney, restoring the grasslands and pastures in Miyazaki's paintings, and has a small Swiss name, so that people who are tired of Sydney's busy city experience a unique Swiss wind town.

When I first came to Kiama, I felt that it was very leisurely and comfortable, along the mountains and the sea, a large area of grass, towering trees, no large number of tourists, are all local people to walk and play on the weekend, there are signs and instructions along the road, and it is a good scenery to walk casually. The blue sea, a line of white waves, happy to row to the shore, the seaside reef has a strange texture.

Almost all of Kiama's attractions are within walking distance of the shoreline, but the journey is very long! If the hike to complete the whole personal conservative estimate may take a few hours, everyone pay attention to reasonable arrangement of time and save physical strength, I suggest that hiking partners choose a few major attractions or taxi to go (but note that taxi here is more difficult to hit by luck), here mainly introduce the two most distinctive attractions.

One of the most iconic spots in Kiama, there is a natural fountain and super out of the white lighthouse, surrounded by natural rocks, you can climb but pay attention to safety, it is recommended to wear comfortable sports shoes.

blowhole water hole is actually a natural seawater fountain. The principle is that the reef near the shore has been eroded by the sea for a long time, and has been penetrated into a small hole. When the wave hits the shore, the sea water rushes into the narrow stone hole instantly and gushes out under the huge pressure of the sea.

We were lucky that day, the weather was fine, the wind was relatively strong, the sea continued to surge waves, accompanied by bursts of sea waves echo, the moment countless white spray from the sky fell down, in the sunlight refracted a shallow rainbow across the reef above.

It is said that the fountain can reach up to more than 60 meters, although I saw the water column is not so high, but it is also very spectacular, the water column spray sometimes far splash on the observation platform, please pay attention to protect the camera.

Influencer bench punch in, navigate Kiamacoastal path carpark. Some people will choose to take a taxi to this spot and then start walking from here, but it is important to note that uber in Kiama is really difficult to get a car.

✅ Restaurant recommendation

🍽️ Diggies Cafe

This restaurant is a must for me every time I go to Kiama, the seafood is very good! Personally recommended Cone Bay Barramundi and DiggiesPrawn Roll, tender sea bass on the outside and delicious shrimp rolls, can only be described as "worthy of the world".

We started early in the morning and walked from the fountain and lighthouse to Bombo Beach. We wanted to continue to walk all the attractions, but the whole journey was too long and we couldn't get a taxi, so we took a bus from Bombo Reilway Station back to the city.

Although I did not complete the journey, the scenery of Kiama is still stunning, and the residents of the town are also very friendly, and almost all tourists and backpackers from outside will greet them warmly.
