St. Petersburg Faberge Museum

On 19 November 2013, at the Shuvalov Palace in St. Petersburg, the Faberge Museum was officially opened to the public as the first private museum in Russia. The museum was created by the "Times Link" Cultural and Historical Foundation, which was founded in 2004 by Viktor Vekseliberg with the aim of returning lost cultural treasures to Russia.

In 2004, Wechseliberger purchased the unique Faberge collection, which was collected by Malcolm Forbes. Since then, the "Times Link" Foundation has started a series of museums in Russia dedicated to the work of the great jeweler Carl Faberge.

The centerpiece of the museum is the work of the famous Russian royal jeweler Faberge and his eponymous company. In early 2004, Wechseliberg acquired the collection from the heirs of the American publishing giant Forbes.

The most valuable collection in the museum is nine royal Easter eggs created by Faberge for the last two Russian emperors, Alexander III and Nicholas II.

In addition to the works of Faberge Company, the museum also has a collection of contemporary Russian famous jewelers and silverware craftsmen Sazikov, Ovchennikov, Khlebnikov, Leucert and other works. So far, the museum has more than 4,000 high quality pieces of various sizes.

Full ticket price: 500 LU, concession ticket: 250 LU (student ID available).
The museum is open from 10:00-20:45, and the ticket office is open from 9:30-20:15

It was really, really, really cool. The whole journey was very short, about 30 minutes from getting on the plane to landing, and the feeling of weightlessness was a little strong at the beginning, but nothing after that. You can learn some movements that last a little longer. The scenery is really beautiful
