At the Corning Museum of Glass, you'll find exhibits about all things glass: the art of glass, the history of glass, and the science behind it. Inside the pavilion, you'll learn about more than 3,500 years of glass history, including glass sculptures of ancient Egyptian pharaohs, as well as Tiffany glass Windows, sculptures and figurines.

Explore the history of glassmaking and watch live glassmaking demonstrations. You can even take glassmaking classes at school. At the Innovation Center, you can experience interactive exhibits that combine light, glass and your own imagination. This non-profit museum is the largest glass museum in the world and a truly unmissable tourist attraction.

I spent a weekend visiting the Corning Museum of Glass, the largest glass museum in the world. I have to say that this is one of the best museums I have experienced in New York State! With the advantages of both art and science, the exhibition hall's dynamic line and visitor experience are very good, suitable for glass art lovers and families with children.


The recommended visit time is about 4 hours, we arrived at 11am, basically visited every demo, and could watch the production process in the world's largest glass blowing demo space. See Figure 4. inspired by dig deeper and glass breaking, there will be interactive sessions for children. The 11:00 and 1:00 Tours require advance booking at the front desk with a limit of 20 people

On the ground floor is the huge museum shop where you can buy souvenirs and glasswork, and on the second floor there are three exhibition halls.contemporary art+design: centuries of glass: The world's largest space dedicated to contemporary glass art and design, with glass performing brilliantly in the diffused light of skylights.35 centuries of glass: Showcases the world's most comprehensive and renowned glass collection. The collection includes Asian, European and American glassmaking and is well worth a visit.


About making your own glasses: No experience required, there are hot glass, fusing and sandblasting projects, ranging in length from 15 minutes to 40 minutes. You can make things like Christmas tree pendants and Halloween glass pumpkins. It should be noted that only sandblasting items can be picked up on the same day, other works are picked up after noon the next day after overnight annealing or shipped for an additional fee

tips: In the admissions lobby, you can get the costumer survey with red cover, and after filling out the costumer survey, you can get the special museum gift. It is a glass pendant with random color. I got the blue one, and my friend got the transparent one.

For a break from shopping, check out restaurants like Cheesecake Factory, Dave & Buster's or Johnny Rockets. Destiny USA Shopping Center is just 10 km from Syracuse Hancock International Airport, making for a wonderful day for the whole family.
