Go to Kennedy Space Center and encounter a rocket launch. Is your space dream still alive?!

The Kennedy Space Center, located on the Atlantic coast of eastern Florida, is open to the public in a part similar to a science and technology museum or Space Museum, introducing the United States that year's moon mission, the space shuttle Atlantis, the work of astronauts, and so on, full of pride from the United States. Many hands on activities, the presentation is also very rich, well worth taking children to visit.

We were lucky this time, just encountered the Musk company's heavy rocket launch, although the distance between the viewing platform and the launch pad is 10 kilometers away, or can deeply feel the strong light and roar of the fire ball, an unusual experience. Friends who have plans to go can check the date of the rocket launch online in advance, and there are launches the week before and the week after we go, so the launch frequency is quite high.

Today, in addition to the space test site, there is a visitor center, which can be described as a theme park for space fans. This trip is really worth it! Even people like me who are not very interested in space can have a good time.

It turned out that the visitor center was a private enterprise, and was actually managed separately from the rocket research facility. The center includes several museums and an IMAX theater, as well as a tour bus that takes visitors around the rocket launch development site (but can't get off, only from a distance).

Tickets are bought on site, with self-service ticket machines and manual counters. ⚠️ Do not buy cheap tickets from other platforms, it is easy to be checked, you have to buy a new ticket. Go in the door and get an event itinerary, which has buses and event times on it.

Entering the space center, the eye was immediately attracted by a huge simulation of the moon rover. This lunar rover is a replica of the one used in the Apollo missions, and sitting on it feels like traveling through time and space to experience the feeling of astronauts driving on the moon. This interactive experience excites the children and gives them a keen interest in the mysterious moon.

Next, we visited the Apollo 8 mission's launch control room. Here is a real reproduction of the scene when man first landed on the moon, and the huge screen plays the historical picture of the rocket launch, as if we were immersive, back to that exciting historical moment. Here, the children learned the whole process of the Apollo mission, felt the power of science and technology and the courage of human beings to explore the unknown.

At the Space Center, we got up close and personal with the Saturn V rocket, the giant rocket that took men to the moon. The huge size and complex structure of rockets make us marvel at the level of science and technology at that time. Children also learn the basics of rockets here, inspiring their yearning for space.

I also experienced the daily training of astronauts at the space center. In the astronaut training simulation area, children can experience space flight and docking with the space station through the simulator. My son especially likes to sit in front of the console and manipulate various buttons and switches, as if he had become a little astronaut.

A Tour of the Space shuttle Atlantis, first flown in 1985 and officially retired in 2011, is recommended. After standing through the elaborate film, the curtain was raised and the Atlantis welcome home, and we were all in tears.

An on-site bus will take visitors to a venue commemorating the Apollo moon landings, and it is also worth seeing a theater that simulates real rocket launches. You can also touch rocks brought back from the moon.

Be sure to leave more time to visit the surrounding souvenirs, the two-floor store is quite easy to visit, in addition to the relevant NASA peripheral, as well as SpaceX souvenirs. Personally think the most worth buying is the astronaut Snoopy peripheral.

I was lucky enough to see the rocket shining like the sun on the plane in the night sky 🚀 thanks again to my pilot friends.
