"The Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's gift to God, is the lifelong dream of countless architects and the dream of all mankind." "One of the greatest buildings in the history of mankind," "a wonder in the history of architecture," "an unfinished monument."

Sagrada Familia full name "Sagrada Familia Cathedral", the family refers to the family of Jesus, the Sagrada Familia began construction in 1882, has not been completed, although not completed, but has been given too much praise, is the only building in the world has not been built but has been listed as a world cultural Heritage building.

I don't think I'll ever forget the shock of being hit all at once.

The talented architect Gaudi began to take charge of the construction of the Sagrada Familia at the age of 31, and devoted his life to the Sagrada Familia. In 1926, Gaudi died due to a car accident, and only less than a quarter of it was completed until the last moment of his life. Later architects continued the construction of the Sagrada Familia based on Gaudi's manuscripts and models, and it is expected to be completed in 2026, marking the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.

Gaudi designed three facades for the Sagrada Familia, symbolizing the three most important stages of Jesus' life: birth, crucifixion and resurrection. Each facade has four bell towers representing the twelve disciples of Jesus.

When you step inside the Sagrada Familia, you will see the colorful light, and I think Gaudi is the one who believes in light. The magnificent colonnades, detailed carvings, and colorful glass Windows are unlike any other church in Europe.

There are also six towers in the center, four of which represent the authors of the four Gospels of the Bible, one surrounding the center represents the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the other, higher, represents Jesus Christ. When the tower is completed, the Sagrada Familia will be the tallest church in the world at a total height of 172.5 meters.

The birth facade was designed and completed by Gaudi himself before his death. It is the most personal work of Gaudi in Sagrada Familia, telling the story from the conception of Mary to the growth of Jesus.

The Crucifixion facade was built by later architects and sculptors based on Gaudi's manuscripts and models to show the crucifixion scene, and the Glory facade represents Jesus' resurrection and ascension to heaven, and is still under construction today.

The fine carvings and intricate details on the doors and columns of the entire church have been breathtaking, and the interior of the church is an interpretation of the epic dialogue between light and architecture. There is not a single colored lamp, but a warm and bright holy light everywhere.

Entering the church is like entering the Jungle Book, the pillars of the church are like tree trunks, and several branches grow upward to support the huge vault. The sun shines through the stained glass Windows on both sides, one side is blue, cyan, purple composed of cool tones, one side is orange, fiery red, yellow composed of warm tones, half of the ocean, half of the flame, and the Catholic faith in Jesus, is the "living water of life", is the "light of the world".

Today, the Sagrada Familia represents not only an architectural style, but also a cultural heritage and historical heritage. It shows the cultural confidence and artistic pursuit of a country, a nation and even all mankind.
