Sydney kids, it's time for the exciting Power Up Festival! From Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22, the three-day community festival will ignite your weekend with art, music, food and lots of fun! First look at the highlights of the event.

1 An artistic journey through time

Step into the iconic White Bay Power Station and experience the historic charm of Sydney's oldest power station and you'll feel the vibrancy of Sydney's art scene! The Turbine Hall will showcase the work of more than 250 local artists, ranging from traditional paintings to avant-garde installations.

Built in 1912 to power the railway, the White Bay Power Station has pre-1950s machinery, a strong industrial atmosphere, and has been transformed to incorporate contemporary art, like a dialogue through space.

The theme of this year's Biennale is Ten Thousand SUNS. The sun is endowed with different meanings in different cultural beliefs, and 10,000 SUNS represent the diversity of cultures, just like the city of Sydney shows its tolerance of diverse cultures. As each of us has our own cultural perspective, together we create the light and heat that shine on this land.

2 Live music and captivating performances

Power Up Stage will feature exciting performances from local and international artists, including a family-friendly 'Meet the Orchestra' segment, cabarets, indie rock bands, DJS and a closing performance from ARIA award-winning singer Josh Pyke!


3 Selection of food and creative markets

Ready to tuck in? Premium food stalls, craft brewers and distillers from the Inner West and Sydney will converge here. craft market! From the vibrant Inner West End to the city centre, a range of mouth-watering food stalls will have no control over those who want to tuck in.

In addition, there are treasures made by local artisans in Sydney for you to discover! From handmade bags to sustainable jewelry and uplifting household items, there's no better time to treat yourself.

Different activities every day! Friday kicks off with a circus, magic and cultural show, with a variety of programs to keep your eyes peeled. Saturday is a full day of indie/rock music, full of movement and passion. Sundays are family-friendly, with fun classical music sessions, parent-child interactions and educational experiences.

5 Greenway Art Awards & Creative Community Competition

This year's Greenway Art Awards will feature more than 200 works of art, highlighting the unique character of the Inner West District around the themes of sustainable transport, the environment and urban ecology.

During these three days, the activities of each day are not the same. The festival will also kick off with dynamic music, magic and circus performances, starting with indie rock music and big performances on Saturday, and ending with classical music and interactive education for families on Sunday.
