Can't miss the clock, Gaudi's fantasy world of architecture

🕍 Antonio Gaudi is a great Spanish architect, known as one of the leading figures of "Catalan modernism" (a branch of the Art Nouveau movement), known for his complex, novel, unique and intensely personal architecture. Influenced by neo-Gothic art and Eastern techniques, Gaudi participated in the Modernism movement, which reached its peak in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. However, his work went beyond the more mainstream modernism of the time, and eventually formed an organic style inspired by natural forms. Gaudi rarely drew detailed plans of his works, preferring instead to create them as three-dimensional, equal-scale models and shape the details as he conceived them.

1️⃣ Parc de la Ciutadella
The Castle Park is located on the border between the coastal district and Little Barcelona, and takes its name from the old castle in the park. Gaudi, as Foncerre's assistant, participated in the design of the monument's detailed decoration.

2️⃣ Casa Vicens

The building is considered to be the first major project of Gaudi. At the time of the design and construction of the Visons House, Gaudi was just beginning his career, and he was influenced by neo-Moorish architecture to develop his own style. This style includes a lot of geometric arrangements, the use of tiles, the use of metalwork and the decoration of bricks.

3️⃣ Sagrada Familia
It is an unfinished Catholic church located in the extended area of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, Spain, and is the largest unfinished Catholic church in the world. Gaudi spent 43 years of his life on the design and construction of this church. The design of this church has a strong natural color. Gaudi designed the church based on the forms of many animals and plants, and displayed various scenes from the Bible in the whole building one by one like pictures, making this church a Catholic book that every visitor can read.

🔸 Gaudi combines the Baroque style in his architectural designs, employing technologically advanced construction methods and drawing inspiration from nature. He believed that pure straight lines do not exist in nature, "straight lines are the product of man, and curves are the work of God." Although it is difficult to accurately describe the evolution of Gaudi's style in chronological order, it can be seen that he shifted away from his initial historicist approach, fully immersed in the vibrant Catalan modernist movement of the late 19th century, and eventually developed his own organic style. Each stage has an effect on him, and he gradually absorbs the elements and transcends them.
