New Zealand North Island, must go emerald sapphire waterfall!

📍Huka Falls

Tao Bo Lake drive to about 15min, after arriving from the parking lot down can walk along the waterfall trail, although sunny, but the trail has a lot of shade, walk up very cool.

The last time I visited Huka Falls, it was a cloudy day, and the water was an emerald green color. The water on this sunny day was a little blue, clear and dreamy.

There are so many fun things to do in North Island! Huka Falls near Lake Taupo is really beautiful on a sunny day! It's the kind of emerald turquoise you've never seen before!

Before entering Huka Falls, it passes through a valley of hard volcanic rock. The force of nature makes the water rushing into the valley rush like water from a fire hose coming out of a nozzle.

HukaFalls is one of the most popular natural landscapes in New Zealand. It is flooded by the Waikato River at a 12 meter high channel fault, resulting in 230 tons of water per second. The light blue Waikato River produces jet and downward great power due to the action of passes and faults. It forms a foam waterfall and cascades down, so the locals call this waterfall "Huka", which means foam.

The river, which one second had been calm and quiet, roared along the valley, only to be heard with a roar, and the water rushed through the valley and then into the Huka Falls, plunging into the turbulence 11 meters deep. There is a pedestrian bridge over the waterfall, standing on the bridge, you can see up close that the water explodes at a speed of almost 220,000 liters per second!

It can fill an entire football field, and the rushing water looks ice blue, and then down to the sapphire blue, it's like entering the Pandora's Path of water and the world is mysterious and beautiful.

There are several vantage points around for viewing, allowing you to feast your eyes on the magnificent scene and capture every amazing moment.

📍the world’s coolest McDonald’s

Then head to Taupo's downtown McDonald's, which claims to be the coolest McDonald's in the world because it's a former aircraft,
It was bought and renovated in 1985 and opened to the public as an airplane McDonald's, which is very special and memorable. You can eat inside. It is true that you can eat McDonald's on the plane, but there are opening hours from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

It is said that McDonald's bought this retired plane, and the pilot seat of the captain's cabin is still preserved. Enter the McDonald's door and cross the outdoor children's play area to see the steps to the plane.

📍Lake Taupo

Lake Taupo is really blue, and sitting by Lake Taupo in the afternoon waiting for the sunset is really super healing.

Nevada Beach, the overall feeling is really the most comfortable! Lake Tahoe is a must. The sand was soft and comfortable with bare feet, and the beach area was large so people would not crowd together. We went to watch the sunset at 6:00 in the afternoon, and stayed for more than two hours.
