Art in the strange Tower of the Sun

Osaka Tenboyama Ferris Wheel & Osaka Don Quijote Ferris Wheel

Billed as the world's largest and safest Ferris wheel, Osaka's Tenpoyama Ferris Wheel has the feel of Universal Studios. Decided to go to the aquarium first (before seeing mixed reviews, go to find it is worth it! Write a play experience separately behind), and come out in the evening to see the flow of people.
Fortunately, when the sun goes down in the evening, there are really fewer people! Ordinary translucent cabins do not need to queue directly to enter, transparent cabins need to wait 30 minutes.

Ferris wheel tickets are 900 yen/person, two people can sit in a cabin, a circle of about 15 minutes, compared to the domestic is still very cost-effective. The actual ride experience is really very surprising first caught up with the evening time (sincerely recommend this time), can not only enjoy the seaside sunset, but also capture the bustling city scene of Osaka lights at the beginning, and the Ferris wheel will stage a light show at night (not only simple different colors of lights, but also such patterns, unfortunately, mobile phones can not shoot), with a beautiful melody, As the Ferris wheel rises to its highest point, the romantic atmosphere reaches its peak

Osaka Don Quijote Ferris Wheel

This Ferris wheel is super cute! Wait in line to take the Ferris wheel before you go to buy a ticket, there is a waiter at the queue to help, pay cash to him

Cool! The large area of glass view is excellent, and the service of taking photos will be provided when you sit on the Ferris wheel and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Osaka such as Dotonbori and Abeno HARUKAS Totenkaku!

If you are interested, you can feel it. You can relax and go shopping. It's super cool! Regular ticket 600 yen, if you have Osaka pass can be discounted 100 yen. One carriage can accommodate up to 4 people

Big reveal inside the Tower of the Sun

Whether it's the 20th century teenager, Osaka lover, Morimi Mihiko or even Crayon Shin-shin, there are plenty of opportunities to fall in love with the Tower of the Sun at first sight. Even before I saw the Tower of the Sun in person, its model occupied space c on my bookshelf. Just like the lyrics say, "The Tower of the Sun in Huambo Park, I really want to see it." I finally got a chance to see it by monorail last summer! (Personally, I think the Tower of the Sun must be seen in the middle of summer.)

The Tower of the Sun is a building designed by Japanese artist Taro Okamoto at the venue of the Osaka World Expo in 1970. It is both his representative work and the landmark building of the Expo. There are three faces on the outside of the tower of the Sun: the golden sun at the top, symbolizing the future, and the sun at the front, representing the present; Located on the back, it represents the black sun of the past.

The underground space of the Tower of the Sun features a fourth face pattern in the entire building, known as the "underground sun".

However, since the original work has been lost, a replica made in 2014 is now on display. With the underground sun as the background, the light show presents the two themes of "The Past: The World of Roots" and "Prayer" that Taro Okamoto wanted to present. (In this part, we can see that Taro Okamoto's inspiration came partly from the Jomon earthenware which also influenced the design of the Zelda Temple and the Movable terracotta.)

Inside the Tower of the Sun is the Tree of Life, displaying 183 models of 33 species from bottom to top, representing the biological evolution process from single-celled organisms to the birth of human beings. Climbing up the stairs, you can observe the evolution of life.

The inner arm of the Tower of the Sun is also shocking, it is said that the World Expo can climb out along this arm, staring for a long time to feel that it will be sucked away. After climbing to the top, you can follow the stairs all the way down, which is a photo exhibition about the design of the tower of the Sun and an introduction to Okamoto Taro.

There is a souvenir shop at the exit with lots of accessories to buy. After coming out of the Tower of the Sun expo70 memorial hall, there is a human figure of the Tower of the Sun/commemorative coins/big head stickers can be played, I heard that summersonic will be held in the Expo Park in 24 years, think about it!!
