Summer mark of glass! Every piece of work I want to buy home collection!

Yasuo Okuda was born in 1981 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts. Established a studio in Chiba Prefecture, and worked as a glass artist. At the same time, he worked as a regular lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts. My original study direction was ceramics, and I switched to glass modeling after graduation.

Several pieces of Mr. Yasuo Okuda's glass ware collected many years ago, the dreamlike gradient color matches the fruit perfectly. To borrow a comment on his works on the Internet, he said, "Make ordinary glass become vivid and interesting." Indeed, the fun of using Mr. Okuda's work is that the combination of different colors of food, carrying the food, makes the work more complete.

This Okuda Yasuo exhibition came again, it is not easy to do once, a thousand years of work! I came to see Yasuo Okuda's exhibition and some of his works really amazed me!

In the creation of glassware, the ceramic creation method is integrated. Yasuo Okuda's handmade glass objects are both practical and beautiful. Simple shapes and colorful colors make ordinary glass light and smart. People like it when they see it.

He tried to connect ceramics and glass, and later adopted the "glass casting" method, which refers to the technique of attaching melted glass to the surface of the pottery. The combination of ceramic and glass gives the ware both the warmth of pottery and the crystal clear of glass. Later, the cracks produced in the treatment of the unique technology he studied gave the glassware a special aesthetic feeling.

Okuda uses ceramic and glass to make sculptures and vessels. A unique technology called "to-tai-gara-su-chu-zo" (glass casting) has also been invented and is being studied. This technique is a molding technique in which glass is melted onto ceramic and then perforated into the glass. Clay can be molded by hand or pulled, while glass allows light to pass through, refract and create a visual effect. He was fascinated by both.

Both ceramic and glass are fired in a kiln, and both materials can undergo unexpected changes in the kiln. "I believe that the real joy of using a kiln is to create works of art that transcend ourselves," Okuda said.

His work is inspired by the interesting colors, movements and structures I find through observing familiar plants, animals and landscapes. I want to convey fun and beauty through my works. At the same time, I hope to convey my feelings through my works, so that guests can feel happy and joyful. I hope you can also enjoy the beauty of shiny cracks.

After seeing Okuda Yasuo's works, after the initial surprise and admiration, you will find that the glass ware in your hand has natural memories and images, with a fresh natural breath, some like rainbows, some like petals, some like leaves, as if the pleasing imprint of what you see is locked into the glass, very durable. Glass and pottery seem to go hand in hand, but Okuda combines them well.
