When reality hits Daydreamer town!

Entering the Sinai Peninsula, the first stop went to the small town of Stikisholmy, which is also the shooting place where the hero of the film left New York and landed in Greenland for the first time. The contrasting tranquility of this harbor town brought me a great sense of relaxation, and even reminded me of Darling Port in Sydney's summer. Walk along the coastal harbour, climb Beacon Hill, see the whole town and fjord.

There are not many restaurants in the town, and those with high scores need to make reservations in advance. You can also go to the dock to buy cod burgers and fries, which tastes good. After visiting for half a day, you can go back to the hotel to do dinner. At 11 o 'clock in the evening, you can stroll around the farm to eat.

This is the small town at the end of the world in the "Daydreamer", fairy-tale streets, colorful houses, quiet ports and lighthouses, and the end of the drive around the island finally arrived here.

In the film, the main character lands from the plane to the small town of Nuuk, with a glacier floating outside the window, in Stikisholmi, on the Sinai Peninsula.

The town is small, there are no must-check attractions, and after taking the same picture as the movie (google search Walter Mitty bar), it is next to the harbor, overlooking the red lighthouse and distant mountains.

Walking along several streets in the evening, the Windows of each house glowed with a warm yellow light, not knowing it was the blessing of the Daydreamer movie
Or the quiet and beautiful atmosphere of the town itself, which gives me a sense of belonging that I want to stay for a long time.

One night in town is called Syslo Guesthouse, located on the main street in the center of town, with a window overlooking the harbor, and it is one of my favorite homestays in Iceland by car. The house with white and red roof, typical Icelandic style architecture, duplex structure, bright and transparent living room on the first floor, and exquisite interior decoration of Nordic style are all the looks of my dream house.

Fortunately, we were the only tourists staying that day and had the kitchen and living room to ourselves. There is no TV, after preparing a simple dinner bought in the supermarket in the kitchen, I lie on the sofa listening to music, accompanied by the whistling wind outside the window, only to find that it has not been such a long time to immerse myself in relaxation.

Stikis Holmy is worth a night's stay and is my idea of a daydreamer coming to life!
