Museum Art nudity - not normally seen

Altes Museum The old museum

The Old Museum in Berlin was the first museum in the Museum Island and is full of neoclassicism. The main exhibition is a collection of ancient Greek and Roman artifacts. It can be clearly seen that the central rotunda of the museum is modeled after the design of the Pantheon in Rome. Of course, in order to ensure the temperature and humidity in the exhibition hall, the glass dome skylight is improved. There are several Corinthian columns in the hall, and the gods of ancient Greece and Rome are intertwined between the columns, which is visually shocking.

It's the famous bronze sculpture Praying Boy, a Renaissance work, and the child had previously spent a lot of time in the gardens of the Palace of Sanssouci in Potsdam. Looking out from the entrance to the east, you can see the Berlin Cathedral and the Berlin TV Tower, and the sculpture is Kampfende Amazone.

Alte Nationalgalerie Old National Gallery

Showcases classical, Romantic, Biedermeier, Impressionist and early Modernist works from the Rijksmuseum in Berlin. Basically all day long need to queue up to enter the library, the average queue is about 30min and above. So it is highly recommended to reserve the free admission time in advance (select that time slot ticket). Go to the same day about also, you can about 3h after the admission time (I remember is) and support modification, when the time to go on time can directly enter.

It is dominated by paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries and a small number of sculptures, and has a special exhibition of German romantic landscape painter Casper David Friedrich on a separate floor. To be honest, I really don't know this guy, but I like his paintings! Gives me a feeling of ethereal open mysterious silence, is an unexpected surprise harvest)

I took some photos of my favorite works, but there are still many too late to see... Souvenir shop postcards are not bad, you can pick a few favorite "paintings" to take home

Bode-Museum. Bode-museum

Home to sculptures, the Byzantine Art Museum and the coin Cabinet Pavilion. The Bode Museum was designed by architect Ernst von Ine. The museum was completed in 1904. At the time of its completion, the museum was named the Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum in honor of Emperor Frederick III.

It was renamed in 1956 in honor of its first curator, Wilhelm von Bode. Today the main collections of the Bode Museum are sculptures, Byzantine art, coins and MEDALS. Because I prefer sculpture works, the pictures I took were all sculptures.

This museum is also super hot, before the museum Open Day to get tickets also lined up super long to go in to see, the pavilion is very large, carefully look down to take two to three hours. It's very interesting. And the architecture of the museum is so beautiful! Like the partners, suggest to go to the museum opposite, you can take my final picture of the water effect! Very out of film!!

Practical information

The entrance to the Pergamon Museum is at the James-Simon-Galerie. The Pergamon Museum and the New Museum are connected and both can be accessed at 0 in Figure 2. The interpreters in these two pavilions are universal and can be returned after visiting together.

Each museum can store bags and coats, can not carry large bags, thin coats can wear, but the heat can not be taken off in the hand, to tie on the waist... After a day of shopping time is more nervous, but also very tired, it is recommended to bring their own dry food, bring more water. Personally think 1-2-3 is worth visiting, if the time is too tight, you can choose these three first
