King Lake is famous for its beautiful scenery, and in addition to boating, it is also a hiking and outdoor rock climbing destination. The first time I tried outdoor rock climbing, I didn't dare to move when I just went up, I was really scared. After overcoming the fear, it's very interesting, like a puzzle game, thinking about which rock to grab and how to move your body to get to where you want to go. It's healing to be surrounded by nature at the same time.
Transportation and accommodation: It is recommended to stay in the town or Salzburg (40 minutes by bus to the town, you can use the Bayern state ticket but not the monthly pass), and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful.
The town randomly caught a bakery (Backhandwerkerei Ernst) and an Edelweiss hotel opposite the Asian restaurant are very good ~ Generally I will not try any Chinese flavor Soße, but out of the warm owner can speak Chinese trust ordered Kung pao chicken... The ingredients are delicious, but the seasoning can only be said to be more recommended such as curry, fortunately, their own hot sauce is very good!
There are also some hotels in the Lake District, but eating may not be as convenient. Deutsche Bahn is so unstable these days, Munich and back in one day is a bit risky.
This article would like to introduce two wire climbing routes on the edge of Kings Lake -Laxersteig & Schutzensteig am Jenner
Laxersteig (referred to as L) full difficulty C official time: 1h
Schutzensteig (S for short) Full difficulty A/B Official time: 1-1.5h
From the Kingslake car park, take the Jennerbahn to Bergstation and follow the signs for a 20-minute walk down the hill to the start of Schutzensteig. Because I just started to get into wire climbing, I had no idea about the difficulty level, so I decided to start with A simple A/B difficulty. Follow the steps I took with my Rotstock instructor and put on your own gear and gloves for your first solo climbing trip.
A/B difficult route S to climb down is still easy, less than the official time, 50 minutes to climb finished, then the whole person began to drift a little, feel that if directly down the mountain back to the hotel then very not happy. And then I made a very irrational decision to challenge the L line of difficulty C
In fact, the two lines are connected, and if you go straight down to the bottom you can climb the L and then the S and then the Keiner Jenner. Now I am halfway down, climbing up S, and then returning the same way, after the start of S, continue to walk down the hill for 1 hour to the start of L. It's like walking backwards all the time.
And this one-hour downhill route has become very difficult to walk because of the recent rainstorm. Almost all of them were sliding down the mountain through mud, and accidentally their knees were also scratched by the branches washed down by the rain, and they were injured before they started climbing, which was a very bad feeling at that time.
Line L is divided into 7 sections, the difficulty is: CCCACCC
The first C section felt OK, followed by the second and third C sections are two vertical mountain climbing, climbing half of the legs because of tension a little shake, had to stick to the mountain rest and relax. After A short break we move on to the fourth transition A. After walking through A and the next fifth section C safely, I reached the sixth section C, which made me collapse. Because the distance between several pitons was very far, I could not reach it anyway (the difference between the tips of my fingers was 20cm). Under the premise that my arm strength was not enough to pull my body upward, I could only try to push off the rock wall with one foot. It took me two attempts to get my body to jump up a little and catch the pitons above, when I had the thought that I might die in King's Lake.
This dangerous part of the road almost consumed all my physical strength. There was an emergency exit at the beginning of the last C, and I hesitated and finally chose to exit there and return to the normal hiking route. Finally give up when the heart is very unwilling, especially after leaving only to find that only the last paragraph can complete L, feel good pity. But also have a goal to move forward, go back to continue to exercise, next time to challenge.
【 Rent equipment shop 】
INTERSPORT RENOTH
Address: Jennerbahnstraße 18, 83471 Schonau am Konigssee, Germany
Safety rope, helmet rental: 21 euros per person

【 Accommodation 】
In Bad Reichenhall, half an hour's drive, the house in Germany is so spacious, we booked a homestay in which there are two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub, and you can take a bath every day. And a cute little kitten
Highly recommended 【 Sauna 】
RupertusTherme
Admission: €39 full day including pool and sauna. The pool slide is super fun, with lots of fun pools to play all day. I like to have a floating pool like the Dead Sea, in the underground cave, there is a big screen, playing natural scenery movies, super relaxing. The outdoor pool center also has a bar, the pool is warm water, you can drink something to soak in the bath and enjoy the mountain view ~ ah, very comfortable.
