Having a garden should be the dream of many girls since they were children. Fragrant floating in spring, lush in summer, maple dyed in autumn, snow-covered in winter. The sun shines through the branches and leaves of a ground of fine gold spots, if there is a small pond, you can enjoy the floating light Yue gold, quiet shadow sink the beautiful scene.
Monet's garden is probably as famous as Monet's work. In 1883, Monet's wife had died, his career had suffered setbacks, his work was not recognized by the mainstream, and he even had no money to pay rent and raise children. Depressed and frustrated, Monet fled the city, want to take a train to scatter, when he saw the hillside town Giverny, Monet seemed to be hit instantly, this is the utopia he sought all his life.
Almost immediately, Monet decided to spend the rest of his life in this dreamland. This seems to be a novel plot encounter, perhaps it is God's careful arrangement.
When Monet's financial situation eased, he bought a farmhouse in the town and a nearby plot of land that later became his exclusive domain. Already sensitive and passionate about beauty, Monet set about building his own garden, employing five gardeners to do the work for him.
Monet said, "I am nothing but painting and gardening." His garden consists of two parts: a garden and a water garden. In front of the house is a garden, and the water garden is an artificial lake with weeping willows and bamboo groves on the shore, shrouded in mist. It was in his courtyard that Monet completed his famous series "Water Lilies" and "Nihonbashi".
The pond in the water garden is diverted from the Seine River, and after wandering in the pond, it converges into a murmuring stream back to the river, and the bank depends on the weeping willows like a round green cloud, and the towering trees quietly surround this side of heaven and earth, quite the meaning of winding paths. Several green Japanese-style arch Bridges span the mirror-like pool, and the verdant wisteria branches twist around them, sprouting tiny flowers.
The pond under the bridge is covered with water lilies in graceful bloom. These fairy-like water lilies would later become a frequent subject in Monet's paintings. The planning of the water garden reveals the shadow of Japanese gardens everywhere, giving people a quiet Zen. Monet brought together the two most important themes of his early life: water and flowers, so that the sky and the water form the ideal "impression" in his mind.
Compared with the "quiet" of the water garden, the garden is more "lively". The crowded, vibrant flowers are the spirit of the "wild garden" advocated by Monet. Monet abandoned the traditional French garden model of planting and pruning flowers and trees according to geometric patterns, and let the flowers and plants grow freely in their natural form, without deliberately pruning the flower branches. But the nature of the painter made Monet attach great importance to the combination of colors. Under the green background, red, orange, blue, purple and other colorful flowers are scattered, embellished among them, showing a natural visual dynamic. The perfect color combination of red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, purple and white is like a palette in Monet's hands.
Garden design is an advanced science. Not only the visual satisfaction, a garden, the healing power of the mind is also immeasurable.

If you like Impressionism and like Monet, it is recommended to arrange a day to see it, to see the layers of color and water lilies. Don't bother to p graph, all the original straight up. Where Monet lived and worked for the last 43 years of his life, Monet created this home of a combination of gardens and water gardens, where he created countless world-famous classics. Spring flowers bloom, summer lotus incense around the lake, surrounded by herds of cattle and sheep, quiet and peaceful, like fairyland on earth.

Entering the garden, I was really attracted by the flowers of all colors. It is so beautiful that Monet lived in such a romantic place. He really loved flowers! 🌷
Visited his former house and paintings, feeling that such a great artist, living in a house is so bright and warm... I feel like I live in the garden, and every day when I open the window, I can see a large sea of flowers. I am so envious, and I also see the real shooting place of Water lilies in his painting!
Garden area
1️⃣ Monet's House
The largest pink house in the Monet Garden is the Monet home, and the interior decoration is so warm that there is a queue to enter. The soft decoration of the house is really artistic, and the hard decoration only relies on the color of the wall, and matches the light and shadow through the window, which is really a dream room. Entering Monet's former house, the interior decoration still retains the style of that year. Whether it is wooden furniture or wallpaper stickers, it tells the story of the artist's life. There is also a large collection of Japanese ukiyo-e works. House and garden is the ticket. I bought the student ticket directly from the official website link on Google Maps.
2️⃣ Normandy Gardens
The one-hectare garden in front of the pink house, where Monet once planted a wide variety of flowers, still blooms every month from April to October.
3️⃣ Water garden
In 1893, Monet purchased a small plot of land near his home and built a small pond and a Nippon Bridge painted green. It is because of this pond that we can see the charming series of "Water lilies" paintings in major galleries around the world.
