In a beautiful summer, go to a sweet summer dream.

From London all the way west to Hauser & Wirth Somerset in Bruton. This is not only a contemporary art gallery, but also a unique space full of charm. The gallery building retains the simplicity of the old farm, but it complements modern art and creates a new interest.

Currently on display are sculptures and installations by British artist Phyllida Barlow, both inside the gallery and in the outdoor garden designed by Piet Oudolf.

Known for his use of plants with spectacular seed heads, Oudolf has created a garden of interest all year round. At the top of Oudolf Field sits the Radic Pavilion. Designed by Chilean architect Smiljan Radic, it was installed in Hauser Worth Somerset in March 2015, following its unveiling the previous year as the Serpentine Gallery 2014 pavilion.

Bruton, a small town located near London, is a very designed art museum with occasional exhibitions. The beautiful flowers and plants outside the museum, designed by Dutch landscape architect Piet Outdolf, are perfect for a weekend visit.
Exhibition, event, farm shop, restaurant all in one.

Open the glass door on one side of the gallery and step into the courtyard, you can see the "wonderland" created by Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf and Chilean architect Smiljan Radic. One scene at a time in the garden was too many to see.

Compared with the usual white cube exhibition, the most charming place is its back-to-basics temperament. Whether in the exhibition hall or in the outdoor park, you can feel a rare tranquility and calmness from the city life. Everything here is so natural and not artificial, just bring curiosity, you can find fun in these works.

The path to the patio is lined with bright, plump plants, like a giant color palette. The annular enclosure surrounding the patio offers a different view from every Angle, perhaps due to rainy days, and exudes a soft and lonely beauty.

The Radi Pavilion in the courtyard has a unique shape but naturally integrates into the wonderful garden landscape, stepping into the white shell, the huge crack brings the garden view into the interior space, blurring space and time.

Anything Else?

The French fries at the attached restaurant Roth are delicious, and the farm store has a good selection of seasonal organic products. Grab a bottle of fruity rose wine, ideal for a picnic. The gallery and garden are free to visit.

The Farm Shop is also easy to visit! Here you can buy herbs, fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade jam, and various kinds of wine and beer. We bought homemade desserts, still Coke and Cider (with the head up), and sat in the shade in the quiet summer.
