During my time in the UK, I was most impressed by the area of Cotswold. The morning fog was very heavy, and it was nearly 10 o 'clock when the fog was dissipated by the appearance of the sun. On the way to the bus encountered a small piece of pumpkin patch, very Halloween atmosphere, did not expect to photograph the small brother in the car reading.
It is said that any British village is beautiful, but the small village of Cotswold is truly one of the best.
Compared to London, we get a lot of goodwill in Cotswold, the locals we meet will be friendly to Say Hi to you, the pace of life in most small towns is also very slow, wandering around these small towns and villages, it is no wonder that so many celebrities choose to retire in Cotswold, it is so comfortable.
Bibury
A very small but very beautiful village, many people think of it as a distillation of the English countryside. There is a winding river in the village, which is often crossed by swans, as beautiful as a painting. The most famous is probably the old Arlington rowhouse, so distinctive that it is featured on many postcards of Cotswold.
Upper&Lower Slaughter
The two villages are sister villages, side by side. Upper Slaugter is particularly untouristy, with a traditional mill and a slow walk along the river that feels like time is passing particularly slowly, with houses on either side of it. There are some fine cafes in Lower Slaughter. It's so happy to sit in them and have a Latte and look out the window.
Broadway Tower
Broadway is a small town, just north of Cotswold, and there's not much to explore. Maybe I opened it the wrong way. Entering footpath from a very small entrance on Main Street, there are wooden signs along the way that say Cotswold footpath, of course, I always use Google Maps, otherwise I am afraid of getting lost in the wilderness without tracks. The walk from town to the Broadway tower takes you across the uphill lawn, keeping you company half the way, and watching out for their poop. The tower is the commanding point, overlooking the whole town and the beautiful surrounding hills, it is recommended that you go up the tower to see oh, the window view on each floor is also very amazing.
Chipping Campden
Chipping Campden is really a surprising town. Much bigger than Broadway, the houses are more distinctive. There are many thatched houses 🛖 and the scenery is everywhere. Walk past a Barn Museum, a barn turned into a museum. The church in the back is also fantastic, with medieval hand-sewn religious cloth of similar decoration, and one of the oldest surviving cope robes in the world, hundreds of years old. They were all covered with blue curtains that were pulled open when you were looking at them and closed when you were finished. Young people are rehearsing for tonight's concert. You'd think a town like this would be full of old people, but there are young people too.
My favorite part of this town is the classic thatched huts, which really look like a fairy tale. The town has one main street, the site of the old market. The whole town was very quiet, every house was very elegant, and many of the old houses had wisteria flowers in front of them.
