Rio de Janeiro: Get up close and personal with the Fantastic Jesus Colossus!

Brazil wandering around the Oscar Niemeyer Museum

A 2-hour rampage, flash tour at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum. Seeing this museum at first glance, I think wow, art is exquisite, and the coffee shop has a French name.

Before entering the door, I saw the street sign outside, MON Cafe. Some time ago, I saw a lot of interesting Art Museum on vacation. The first reaction was why use French, and it took me a while to realize that this is the initials of Museu Oscar Niemeyer.

There's an African section and an Asian section, and there are some ancient Chinese statues that make you wonder how they got all the way here, really?

The metal bugs outside the African exhibition area are simply interstellar zerg, and a mecha is a masterpiece of fantasy about the future. I also like the paintings of the writers who have oil exhibition, and the colors are rich and gorgeous.

There's a big exhibition going on in the eye tower, and it's a big installation. But I've never really understood modern art, like the pick and the empty bird cage and the string of barrels, and it's still too far ahead for me, and when I saw the Biennale last year, I thought modern art wasn't my thing.

But there are many pavilions, exhibits are also good, MON is the largest art gallery in Latin America, the entrance fee is only 30 lei, while visiting Curitiba is still well worth it.

There is more to Brazil than sunshine, beaches, samba and football! Brazil is a very diverse country, you can party with thousands of people, you can explore the Amazon, you can experience the world famous waterfalls... Stone statue of Christ the Redeemer

The guardian of the City of Jesus

Brazil's famous Christ the Redeemer is a huge statue of Jesus Christ on top of the Corcovado Hill in the city of Rio de Janeiro, which is one of the most famous symbolic buildings in Brazil and the world.

The giant statue of Jesus, located at the top of a 710-meter-high humpback mountain, was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Brazil's independence. With his arms outstretched, Jesus overlooks the entire city, as if the statue were a giant white cross guarding Rio. The night is illuminated and can be seen from almost every part of Rio de Janeiro.

The height of the Christ the Redeemer statue is about 30 meters (98 feet), and with the height of the base, the total height reaches 38 meters (125 feet). This makes it one of the largest statues of Christ in the world.

Construction of the Christ the Redeemer Statue began in 1922 and was completed in 1931 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Brazil's independence. Design and construction: The design of the statue was carried out by the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and the Brazilian sculptor Paul Landowski, while the construction work was carried out by the Brazilian engineering company. The statue is made of concrete and plaster.

Religious symbol: Christ the Redeemer is a Catholic symbol representing Christ's mercy and blessing. Its open arms symbolize forgiveness and compassion, while its face faces the city of Rio de Janeiro, praying for the city and its residents.
