Sydney Hyde Park and St Mary's Church

Hyde Park
Sydney Hyde Park is located in the eastern side of Sydney city center, originally built in 1810, has a history of more than 200 years, there are large clean lawns, more than a hundred years of towering trees, is a good place to relax here.

At the center of the park is a uniquely designed fountain. He is composed of a set of bronze sculptures, high in the center is a young man holding a guqin, behind him is a fan of water, and several bronze sculptures in the pool.

Hyde Park is almost rectangular in shape, with a square south end and a rounded north end, bordered by Elizabeth Street on the west and College Street on the east, It is bordered by St. James Road and Prince Albert Road to the north, and Liverpool Street to the south.

Hyde Park is free and there are no walls. As soon as I entered the park, which is covered with green grass, I was shocked by the towering trees that intertwine and obscure the sky. These trees are more than a hundred years old, but they are very well maintained and still lush. The old and vigorous trunk and thick branches are like a big umbrella, holding up a piece of green shade that is whirling and swaying. To create a beautiful and peaceful place for the people of Sydney to relax.

From the park, you can see the Sydney TV Tower, which is another landmark of Sydney. At the heart of the park is a uniquely designed fountain - the Archibald Fountain.

Archibald Fountain is a Sydney landmark, located in the centre of such as Bee Circle, north of Hyde Park. The fountain was erected by French sculptor Francois Sicard to commemorate France's alliance with Australia in World War I.
Stone tablets record the origins of the fountain.

The theme of Archibald's Fountain is a figure in Greek mythology. In the center is Apollo, the giver of life, the representative of art, beauty and light. The fan-shaped water springing out from behind him represents the sun's rays, and his finger points east of the sunrise, symbolizing the bright future of young and sunny Australia.

To the left of the Sun God is the young god Pan, who manages nature and crops. Australia is the world's famous sheep herding country, and the gentle RAMS, ewes and lambs lying beside Gipan represent the source of the wealth of early Australia.

Diana, goddess of the hunt with bow to the right of the Sun God, with her hounds and stag, is a symbol of the Australian pioneers. Behind the sun god is Theseus, the hero of hope who fights against the legendary beast, symbolizing the peace and tranquility that the people expect. Night was about to fall, and the lights on the big trees shone like stars in the night sky.

Scurrying across the mall, we arrived at Santa Maria's Cathedral next to Hyde Park just before closing.

Typical Gothic architecture of St. Mary's Cathedral solemn and elegant, bearing extraordinary, a pair of spires towering above the sky. A young man happily rides his bicycle in the solemn square in front of the church, trying his best to show his excellent riding skills, inadvertently integrating the classical and the modern.

St Maria's Cathedral is the spiritual home of Sydney's Catholic community. This Gothic building is magnificent and full of historical weight. The stained glass Windows inside the church are even more breathtaking, and the sunlight shines through the glass with colorful light and shadow, as if you were in a sacred paradise.

The interior of the church is tall and open, and the pillars are made of a combination of garden pillars, which have the same style as the pillars on the external walls of the Victoria Shopping Centre. The empty space above and these straight and tall pillars seem to show the irreplaceable majesty of heaven.

The painted glass Windows on the top beams around the church bring the story of the Bible to life.

Whether you are religious or not, once you enter here, the kind of sacred and quiet atmosphere will surround you, unconsciously the footsteps will be relaxed, walking will be slow, the soul will be quiet.

The Virgin Mary looked at her son's eyes filled with sacred maternal love, and her young face was very entrant. Marvel at the fascinating wealth that artists leave behind.

The beautiful lute of the Holy Spirit soothed the souls of all. The church was about to close, and people were slowly leaving......
