Us Route 1 is easy to miss but the most should not miss beauty! A romantic trip on Route 1!

Bathed in the California sun, the sea breeze and the sound of the waves, National Geographic named Highway 1 one of the 50 places to visit in a lifetime. The beauty of Highway 1 is endless! Many attractions are already popular online. However, the sea swing at Davenport Pier and the rainbow town of Capitola are rarely mentioned.

❣️ Sea swing Davenport Pier

Personally the most interesting is the sea swing. I got the most likes of the year on my Moments post. Google Davenport Pier. I'm about an hour from the Bay Area, and maybe a little longer from San Francisco.

After Google's address, there are a bunch of houses on the right, and the coast on the left. Drive another 200 meters or so, find a clearing on the side of the highway, then cross a railroad track, walk to the edge of the sea cliff, look for it may not be blocked.

Photoshop tracks are also good for photos.

There is a trail near the "rock climbing" label, which is convenient for people to climb up and down. Some people said it was difficult and dangerous before, but I found it was not as difficult as I thought. On the way there, I found that I needed to climb 20 meters to get to the swing, and I looked at myself wearing jeans, mid-heel boots... I thought it was over, but I got down and up again!

I was almost touched by myself! First time climbing in my life, wearing leather boots! There's no protection yet! I feel beyond myself again! Ha ha! Inspirational chicken soup bowl!

In a word! To go must wear sneakers!!! Even if there is no sports equipment, but be sure to prepare a change of clothes!! I went at noon in March, not yet at high tide. But it's hard to predict the mood of the waves!

I observed for a long time to feel standing on the swing, the waves mostly submerged to my legs ~ did not expect to take a photo when a sudden big wave engulfed me!!! I was caught off guard! The sea is called a cold!! I think the legendary Ice Bucket Challenge might be like this...

I jumped off the swing and wailed and shook for half a day... Only to recover... Good thing I brought the dress down to change! Go back to your sweater, jeans, shoes...

It is recommended that you wear a bathing suit! Good photo is not afraid to get wet! When you're done, change back into your sportswear and climb up! Although some thrilling, the second day waist aching legs, but it is worth it! It's the most special experience along the way!

❣️ Capitola, a rainbow town
📍 San Jose Ave & Esplanade Capitola, CA 95010

It's close to Davenport. It's like 20 minutes away. It was taken on the beach. Just park by the bridge. There's a trail to get to the beach. But there are plenty of fairy-tale houses, interesting shops and bars. Many houses are good background walls for photos. If you have time, you can walk around the town, a particularly pleasant little romance! There are many specialty coffee shops, clothing stores, boutiques, bars, restaurants in the town. And a lot of people come to the beach to surf.
