In addition to skiing, be sure to make time to explore the welcoming towns, four of which have designated cultural centers in the state, visit colorful, walkable neighborhoods, experience artsy activities and boutique shopping.

In the Cultural District of Franklin Town (Franklin), you can stroll through the public sculpture garden or catch a live performance at the Black Box Theater; Head to the Cultural quarter of the urban Village Cultural District located in the town of Marlborough (Marlborough) where you can see open-air historical exhibitions at the museum on the street.

The nearby town of Framingham is also a good place to take part in the "Many Cultures, One Heart" sculpture scavenger hunt at the Cultural Block in the central Common Cultural District and see the work of local artists. Finally, head to the Natick Cultural District in the heart of Natick for a variety of festivals, artists' open studios and historical attractions, while rounding off the tour with a live theater performance at the firehouse, which has been around since the early 19th century.
