Best museums to visit in San Francisco! Highly recommend!

Palace of Merit

The Legion of Honor is part of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and it's an awesome building! The place is now run by Max Hollein, who is the boss and CEO of the place!

The museum is divided into two floors. The ground floor is a roving exhibition area, and you have to pay extra to get in. The first floor, on the other hand, is basically a permanent exhibition with a collection of European paintings, sculptures, ceramics, furniture and more from the 16th to the early 20th century. Say a lot of tears ah! Impressionist Renoir, Monet, Georges Sura, as well as abstract Picasso, Baroque representative painters Rembrandt and Rubens, and surrealist painters Salvador Dali and Rodin! It's a collection of famous paintings!

As soon as you enter the gate, you will come to a square with columns. In The middle of the square is a replica of Rodin's most famous sculpture, The Thinker. Directly behind the sculpture is a glass pyramid modeled after I. M. Pei's for the Louvre in Paris.

If you want to buy tickets, it's $10 per person. However, the first Tuesday of every month is free of charge, so everyone has a chance to enjoy the art work easily! If you have the chance to visit San Francisco, you must visit the Palace of Honor! There will definitely bring you an unforgettable art experience that will dazzle and enthrall you!

The Walt Disney Family Museum

💰 Museum: $25; Cats & Dogs: $15; Package: $30
📍 104 Montgomery St, San Francisco, CA 9412

The Walt Disney Family Museum at the Presidio of San Francisco presents the life story of Walt Disney to the public through a stylish interactive gallery. There you will see early drawings, cartoons, films, music, Disneyland models and more. Many of the presentations are told in the voice of Walt Disney, and hopefully people will listen to their inner voice after seeing these presentations and try to achieve their dreams.

Memorial Day's long weekend wasn't planned in advance, and it felt like it might be crowded everywhere. I searched the "Disney Family Museum" on the map, did some homework, and felt relatively small, but the evaluation and perception are very good. It turns out that it is very worthwhile for friends who like Disney to take a look, and it is worth the price!

The content of the exhibition is very rich, from introducing the life of the Walt Disney legend, to how animation is conceived, drawn, produced, scored... As a series of processes are gradually transferred to the screen, the final part describes how Disneyland went from a small idea to the final completion. The whole museum is much bigger than expected, it takes about 2-3 hours to walk around, and there are some interesting interactive devices in it.

I also went to see a special exhibition Cats & Dogs, which is relatively small and worth watching together. It can be finished in about 40 minutes. If I draw pictures and make some small workshops in it, it may take a little longer. It mainly introduces some classic animations containing cats and dogs, and goes to see how those clever furry children were born under the pen of Disney painters!

The surrounding environment is very good, there is a large grass in front, you can picnic, there are some big red plastic chairs to sit on, many children like to play.Just a little further out, you'll have stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. The wind is strong at the seaside. Even though the sun is shining, it still blows a little cold.
