Charleston: A horse-drawn carriage ride
Founded in 1670, Charleston is the oldest city in South Carolina and one of the oldest cities in the United States. The best way to see this historic city? Try a carriage ride.
Listen to the guide explain the story of this beautiful city, while listening to the sound of horses' hooves. Admire the colorful houses on Rainbow Row, visit the magnificent estates and churches, and hear three centuries of Charleston history. Children who can sit quietly in a carriage for an hour are suitable for this activity.
A horse-drawn carriage ride through historic Charleston is super romantic! I don't know if you have seen a rainy day in New York, although the vibe is completely different, but the carriage ride is just as worth it!
Carriage Tours are usually accompanied by knowledgeable guides, as Charleston has many well-preserved buildings, including pre-war mansions, wrought-iron gates and lush gardens, who will provide commentary to start history as you pass historic landmarks. Friends who like history can experience it!
Making a carriage is a super private and intimate experience, two people sit together, often with cozy blankets to keep warm, can explore the city instead of walking, and then lean on their heads and whisper together!
You can choose from a variety of Tours according to your interests, whether focusing on historic homes, gardens, churches or a combination of these. This allows you to customize the experience to your liking. Some carriage Tours even offer night rides where you can enjoy the soft glow of gas lamps and listen to the tap of horses' hooves on pebbles. couples don't miss out!
