San Diego Zoo How to get to San Diego Zoo

San Diego Zoo

Every time I come here and look at the green lawns, the elegant fountains, the beautiful Spanish architecture and the lush gardens, I feel completely relaxed.

The San Diego Zoo is located in the famous Balboa Park, is one of the largest zoos in the world, the zoo is built to imitate the natural environment, the zoo has 4,000 animals, up to 800 species, including the tourist favorite giant panda and koala.

There are only four zoos in the United States with giant pandas. The biggest animal stars in the zoo are definitely the penguins from the Boulder Hall in South Africa. This pavilion showcases Africa's diverse habitats, from knolls and woodlands to upland grasslands, tropical forests and rocky coastlines.

Visitors can learn more about the zoo's elephants, giraffes and other animals through the "in-depth Visit" tour. Want to try the ultimate experience? Be sure to take part in the Exclusive VIP Experience, a fully customised tour of the zoo where you can mingle with animal experts and interact with the animals.

This weekend, we punched the San Diego Zoo, before going to the online summary of a variety of resources, here we combined with personal experience to give you a cost-effective tour line.

At 9 o 'clock, you can choose to go to the Bus Tour first, this time the queue is the least, the lower and upper lines are separated, the lower line is shorter, the whole journey is about 35-40 minutes, if you want to see more animals must sit on the right side of the bus ️ You can only see flamingos and polar bears on the left, while the rest are on the right, including tigers, lions, elephants, camels, bears and so on.

After getting off the bus, you can go to Outback and Urban Jungle, which is a circular line that you can walk around, mainly with some animals from Australia and Africa, including koalas, giraffes, zebras, flamingos, leopards, and lucky you can see giraffes feeding.

After walking, you can cross the Koala Park walkway to Africa Rocks, where there are various African monkeys and lemurs and penguins, and there is an artificial waterfall at the end of the African zone, next to the Africa Rocks stage, one of the three shows in the park, and there is an anteater show at 12 noon.

Just outside the African section is the Asian Passage, a food court called Huamei. But because of the pandas' return to China and the construction of the Red panda area, there is not much to see here, and the red pandas have temporarily moved to Wildlife Explorers Basecamp. We chose to take the elevator from Bashor Bridge to the Northern Frontier, where the dome of the Balboa Park Museum is visible.

When you get off the bridge, you can see a polar bear on the left and a lion and an elephant on the right. Next to the Polar Bear Pavilion is the cable car, which leads to the gate, and the view from the cable car is quite good, you can see Balboa Park and SD Downtown.

After getting off the cable car, you can explore Basecamp, where there are red panda, lynx, fox, monkey and various insects and reptiles, and there are several playgrounds for children. If the time is just 1 o 'clock, you can watch the sloth performance in the stage area.

Take a break for lunch and explore the Lost Forest on the Tiger Trail or Monkey Trail, or catch a show at the Wegeforth bowl at 2:00.
