I'm here for Marilyn Monroe! And there were flamingos!

Be sure to take a vacation in this desert oasis of Palm Springs when it's not summer (although the high temperatures in May already average 35°+). Two and a half hours from LA, Palm Springs, a desert city only 2 hours from Los Angeles, is really too suitable for autumn and winter to play, and under the blessing of the California sunshine, you can wear small skirts during the day! In addition to having the largest outlet in the western United States, Palm Springs really has a lot of fun around the clock attractions! From Los Angeles, efficient travel without overdoing it!

📍Indian Canyon

Palm Springs sign, not to be equal to never eat Changsha stinky tofu. The Andreas Canyon Trail can be traversed counterclockwise for the first half of the trail, and don't miss the park's Palms Canyon, which has taller and denser trees. This desert oasis is just a 10-minute drive from downtown and costs $12 per person. Fat and short "long hairy" fan brown group in the Canyon has become a beautiful scenery, three well-known canyons have hiking routes to go, a day trip is recommended this 1mile Andreas Canyon Trail. Recommended before noon later, do not come too late in the afternoon, the sun will be blocked by the mountain, can not shine in, the scenery will be much inferior.

🥣 lunch can go to downtown to eat, strong push Thai Smile, adults and children like a Thai food, Tom yum Gong soup must order!

📍 Palm Springs downtown

After dinner, I walked downtown, a total of two streets, Forever Marilyn can hit a card, super classic giant sculpture of Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Monroe's birthplace, the town is not big, although walking in the street, next to the mountains of nature, incredible movie sense! Many of the streets and buildings in DT are beautiful and it is comfortable to spend half an hour walking around here.

Features: Artistic sense, the French Miso Cafe in front of the beautiful bougainette, Les Cactus hotel pink house is a little cute, photos are good. Holidays are basically to line up, fortunately, everyone punch a picture to go, if you do not want to be looked at it is recommended to park the first to punch here.

📍JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort

There are many artificial lakes in the hotel, and the number of flamingos is indeed quite a lot in the fountain pool at the hotel gate. In addition to the flamingos at the entrance, there are many other species on the way in, black swans, carp and so on, and some unknown birds. The water in the lake is stained, and it looks good. In addition to the animals, the plants are also very well arranged.

The same model as Lisa! Marriott has a flock of flamingos, and the Marriott Flamingo Pond, made famous by Lisa, is really a show! I heard flamingos go better with palm trees!

📍Cabazon Dinosaurs
Giant in the desert, very cool feeling! Known as the world's largest dinosaur sculpture, every once in a while, these two huge dinosaur sculptures will change into different clothes for different festivals, I went to the pink Longneck dragon and green Tyrannosaurus Rex, driving past, taking photos, not interested in the card point, it is really super windy here.

📍 Aerial Tramway
About 20 minutes drive from downtown to the foot of the mountain, cable car 30 yuan per person. More than ten minutes, from about 800 meters to 2600 meters to Mt. San Jacinto, there are a lot of trail, it is also very cold, pay attention to wear a thick coat. What's interesting is that on the way up, the cable car will also rotate slowly, so no matter where you stand, you can see the 360-degree view. The cable car was completed in 1963, during the construction of the helicopter over two years to fly more than 20,000 times to transport materials, so it is 60 years old, it is impossible to imagine how the station was built.

📍Sunnylands Center&Gardens
This time, I found a small garden of high appearance level, an artificially designed oasis park with desert plants as its main feature. Guided Tours can be booked in the park. The style is fresh, small and delicate. About half an hour drive from the city center, super artistic small fresh aesthetic garden

It's only open Wednesday through Sunday, closes at 4:00, and probably won't be open on holidays, not Thanksgiving, which is a shame.
