ffmpeg ac3 frame sync error Leiter, Wyoming

If you need a new copy of the sample from comment 18, I can re-upload it. Using your example: tccat -i /dev/dvd -T 2,3 | tcdemux -x ac3 -A 0x81 | mplayer - How cool is that! I looked into ffmpeg before, but couldn't seem to get it to work, despite looking at a few different tutorials. I'm running a core2duo processor. It demonstrates why I need -async. For AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option. I have DVB receivers myself and changes between Dolby Stereo and Dolby Surround happen often, and I know that -async does not work well with channel changes (your original sample showed some logs for curious mplayer dump [email protected]:~$ mplayer -vc null -vo null -aid 129 -dumpaudio -dvd-device /dev/dvd1 dvd://2 -chapter 3-3 MPlayer SVN-r28450-4.3.2 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU When I use the command: mplayer -demuxer lavf", no error is reported.

The 1-29 build handles the error approx 11sec in just fine, but the 2-26 build goes crazy and adds too much silence (~12sec worth). I just wondered if my parser handling were broken why it worked ok for other formats, but i've just noticed the AC3 codec does not have a flush() function, therefore doing Regression since 252f5663 / 97de206b Workaround is to specify --disable-decoder=eac3 or -err_detect crccheck comment:3 Changed 7 months ago by cehoyos Using -er 0 this is a regression since ca6e7708 comment:4 Changed I don't think I'm missing any features that might fix this, so I'm posting it as a bug.

comment:10 Changed 4 years ago by agni451 How large of a file can I upload to your FTP server? while playing some DVD - that's MPEG2 Video Stream with AC3 audio stream - or some other movie with MP2 audio stream, i get a "frame sync error" when seeking forward......the I want to start trimming at specific frames, and the only way to do that is to fix the stream first using the above commandline. I was wondering if anybody who was up on the ffmpeg or mplayer mailing lists has seen any mention? VIDEO MPEG2(pid=2176) AUDIO A52(pid=2177) NO SUBS (yet)! FFmpeg gives the information: that the *codec frame rate differs from container frame rate*. The original video file should be 3:35, but the final avi is 3:45 with 10 secs of unnecessary silent audio added.

I've found that it does the exact same thing as -async 48000 (fills in the odd gap) even though the documentation says it is a special case that only corrects the I say occasionally because I ran the sample I gave in comment 18 (it has channel changes AND gaps AND timestamp drift) and it didn't have a problem. Also seeking in another player that uses libav* also causes frame sync error. A little additional info about the full clip: the original video length is 01:05:57.440, and the original audio is is 01:04:24.320. However, some of the recorded shows with commercials experience an audio channel number and layout change around the commercials, going from 6ch 48000 --> 2ch stereo, then switching back. Anyway works great, gonna forget about the whole mplayer dump / ffmeg mess. (I think the issue lies more with ffmpeg in mplayer on playback.

This means it fails with the same error in both cases. I noticed you tried ffmpeg -async 1 -skip_initial_bytes 170M -i Ticket2210.ts -qscale 2 -t 25 outasync1.avi with -async 1. Playing /home/doug/test2/stream.ac3. When I try forcing the audio codec to "-ac ffac3" (to match the working attempt), I still sometimes get no audio and when this occurs, the output looks like this: MPlayer The ac3 file plays with everything and subsequently transcodes cleanly.

I'm not sure where to look at, the problem is the dll (with wrapper functions to libavcodec), is libavcodec the problem (GIT code..), or the video player itself?...What do you think? We have a sample now (and while a significantly shorter file may be good, it is not absolutely necessary) but generally, bugs that are not reported are less likely to get out tommorrow (very late here When your new page is done I'm assuming a link at the corner?
