Given the absence of support response to these posts I suspect there is no fix available at this time. What I'd recommend is to, if you know someone else who's got a drive that works, is hook it up to your computer and see if it works. Apple is completely silent on the issue, and who knows if they're even bothering to work on it? Under the Properties tab, disable the check-box for ''Enable digital CD audio...'' Close the properties box (hit ''ok'').5) attempt to burn in iTunes...you will still get a 2122 error.

But I still think it is an itunes issue. Worked like a charm. I've returned so many of these spindles and have been stuck with two of the older ones that have no wrappings/receipts…. still no luck.
