explorer has caused an error in user.exe Eastman, Wisconsin

Axel Capó: Hi. I turned out to be a problem with the "database" in this folder. That did it for me. I've run every program imaginable.

Sometimes this error displayed occasionally and some times this error get displayed in the loop and stop you doing anything. These are called shell extensions. Solution 6:  Disable Thumbnail Creation A corrupt thumbnail file can cause the explorer to crash. Reply Ankit July 5, 2013 at 8:44 pm Yes i am opening it its succesfully done……..

I had this issue for ages and tracked it back using the event view. To disable them, hold Windows key and press E. Startup files were not the issue, drivers updated, system updated, and so was the ContextMenuHandlers in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. Every time on startup I am experiencing the same "Windows Explorer has stopped working" problem.

So I removed it and Windows Explorer now works. It seems an update from Norton just a few hours ago has broken IE. So please check your drivers and reinstall the drivers if you got any sign of that. Reply Techexpert April 12, 2016 at 6:57 am Sure, we'll help you.

Method 5: Do update your Windows drivers like; USB drivers / Network Adapter Drivers / Wifi Drivers etc. any ideas on what to do next please Reply Tess March 9, 2015 at 5:25 pm File name is OLEAUT32.dll Please help! Solution 1: Scan for Malwares using Malwarebytes Malwares, spywares and adwares can also trigger the issue when they interfere with Windows Services. can it be the files i'm extracting or does that mean i have a hardware failure (driver or RAM or anything) ? Reply Richard February 21, 2015 at 7:08 pm I just now fixed my "Internet Explorer has stopped working" error message that occurred every time IE was started, rendering IE unusable.

Appeared “out og the blue” – or rather “out of MS upgrades”  The initial “sfc /scannow” showed all ok. So uninstall "EgisTec MyWinLocker" and get your issue fixed. I removed the ‘Network Adapter' driver called TAP-Open VPN V9 and the error when away. Although I do have it on my laptop I obviously couldn't get to it 'cause I couldn't open Windows Explorer.

Hate to mess with drivers as I can end with much worse problems messing with those. DécioC posted Oct 13, 2016 at 11:28 AM Loading... I couldn’t file any program tools to fix it, but the sfc. keep it up.
