ge wall oven f2 error Wayne, West Virginia

Unfortunately this part has been discontinued and is no longer available. I set the oven to self clean and received an F2 error after 30 - 45 minutes. That is just what I needed. Answered In Food & Cooking What does the bad line code mean on your GE oven?

This can't be normal? It says: "We have experienced nuisance service calls for an "F2" error code during the self-clean cycle with high altitude installations (5,000 ft or above) of Single & Double Wall Ovens It would start working again within an hour. The ERC was replaced 9 yrs ago. What's New?

I then tried the clean mode again and, as before, the F2 error code appeared after about an hour. Always disconnect electricity before messing with them. What does the F2 code mean on my GE oven? Thank you for your quick response.

Depending on your range, the model and serial numbers can be found on a label on the front of the range, behind the kick panel or storage drawer. Help! Please help. But usually you pull your range out from the wall, and take off the back access panel then you can get to the oven fan.

Thank you, Gene. In order to provide most accurate advice I need the complete model number of the oven. Gene // Sep 18, 2015 at 8:46 pm Hello Babs Wood, Just to stop the beeping the easiest way is to flip off the oven circuit breaker. Unplugging and replugging changes the screen but when I try to reset the clock it goes straight back to the f2 error.

Gene. Flipping the circui…t breaker may clear the problem, but to be extra safe have an electrician check it out. (MORE) 19 people found this useful What would you like to do? Beeping stopped and ERC panel is dark. Gene // Dec 5, 2015 at 4:19 pm Hello candace, Thank you for your question.

Help, I depend on my oven for canning baking and suppers, help help. The cause of the problem with your range is a bad bake relay due to soldered relay contacts.

Gene // Sep 6, 2015 at 9:37 pm Hello Paula, Thank you for your question. In the event that the electronic control displays a fault code, a trained Service Technician should be called to diagnose and correct the issue. The oven temperature sensor can be located protruding out of the back wall from inside the oven cavity. The oven sensor is part #WB21T10007. Sounds like the oven is in lockout (child resistant lock) mode. Very easy to fix..mine was clogged with everything from washer/ dryer she…ets to kids socks... Good luck.

Looks like it's a time for a new oven. Yes Somewhat No Thanks for the feedback! If the problem isn't the temp sensor or welded relay contacts then the problem is obviously somewhere else, but temp sensor and relay contacts will account for the lion's share of I read a lot and have hundreds of books I won't part with.

I can't find the control board listed on your link to Appliance Parts Pros. Notify me of follow-up comments by email. The error display just says "off". Last year it started happening again.

Plug it back in and see if the error appears again.
