That's actually a common problem with the slim Maxtor HDDs, if your model code looks anything like 6E0xxxx. Actual usage is often more demanding than diagnostics. It’s pretty simple – Event Viewer adds on a set of parameters as query string arguments to the URL that we put into the registry. That would be just fine, except for many of these events, there are not a lot of other good results.

Parameter Number of times the drive is more likely to fail within 60 days after reaching the parameter's critical threshold of one. This is the problem.   If you have several external disks and several scsi disks in different controllers, it would be a problem to relate this "path" to the actual drive. The automatic updates finished before the errors started so it can't be the culprit.DiskMon doesn't tell me who accesses the disk, Process Monitor doesn't tell me what disk a program accesses. Is Who ever approved this link should be fired. But the error might have originally come from the disk controller driver. No SMART errors or anything else came up.Quality control isn't as good anymore. Which ever it is get the data on the drive to another location before it possibly loses every thing. The time now is 06:40 PM.

It immediately said SMART failed on the drive, but it didn't say what in SMART failed. Welcome to OCF! Typical examples of such problems are a hang or a CRC error when moving files. I'll see if these errors come back.

Now I'm just curious, but why would you say that? OpCode – this field theoretically tells you what activity the application or component was doing when the event was triggered. If you right-click on the items on the left-hand side, you’ll see a ton of actions (the same ones usually found on the right-hand pane). The one thing that you might immediately do when seeing this dialog is click that More Information link… the problem is that it currently doesn’t take you anywhere useful.
