It might be useful. Some people have reported having to run the client as an Administrator so if you are having difficulties it may pay to try this – I luckily didn’t experience this problem. It would not work for me until I did. Had installed the 3.5 client installed at first. My machine is running on windows 7 , I couldn't find the Microsoft update (KB980773)installed in control panel for my machine and as well as remote desktop connection server where I You can determine your build number by viewing the first line of the viclient.log file, which is found at %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VMware\vpx.
