Looking at the patch, it has to ask for xattrs multiple times if the size is too big, which would mean the streams get out of sync. Not the answer you're looking for?

How do I explain that this is a terrible idea? With a big write, you are bigger than the MTU and the system spots the problem quicker. I'm wondering whether I've left something running on a box at home which is hogging my upstream bandwidth - unfortunately the only boxes which it could be aren't "open" so I I'm guessing it's a timeout on the proxy server....

Files such as zip, tgz, mp3, rar, jpg etc are already compressed, and can not be compressed further, so if you plan to rsync mainly these file formats, better do not Reply With Quote 0 06-27-2013,12:23 PM #9 ZoDiac9797 View Profile View Forum Posts View Forum Threads Junior Guru Wannabe Join Date Dec 2010 Posts 51 Originally Posted by chillipc ulimit on server 1 core file size (blocks, -c) 1000000 data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited scheduling priority (-e) 0 file size (blocks, -f) unlimited pending signals (-i) 73728 max locked In this case, it's already fixed.

Any help is welcome! heya,This isn't a specifically Arch question, but hey, the people on here are usually quite knowledgeable *grins*.I have a SSH server that I'm connecting to over the internet, via a HTTP The keepalives are basically useless TCP packets sent to the OpenSSH server with the only intention of telling it that the client is still around. no help.

Another reason could be that the rsync process is somehow terminated by another tool. Each .out file is 132MB big. It is good thing that rsync continues. Tested locally.

So: mt-daapd_1 cron[xxxxx] login_getclass: unknown class'daemon' mt-daapd_1 cron[xxxxx] _secure_path: /etc/login.conf is world writable Will always be there? Don't know what you mean?

The good think is that rsync continues the transfer from the point it was interrupted. Welcome to the Ebuyer Forums..
