Go to Settings Go to Language and Input Under Keyboard & Input Methods, you should see Android Keyboard (not checked) and Google Voice Typing (checked). and your mobile popup appear with this "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped" error. The only option i have on my nexus 5 in the playstore is to open the "google" app. Did you forget to update your google app in order to save a bit of data pack? That was 6 months ago. January 5 by Linda Jarkov Clearing the data on google search, powering off and taking out the battery for a minute fixed this for my phone.
