In the mean time id search Ebay for the Ford Blaulpunkt stereo unit. If anybody has pulled the fascia off the system, you have the CD player on top, then the CRT screen next and so on. If so, pull it out with tweezers or some needle pointed pliers. They play and eject perfectly.

So I took your advice.... 1. And like every other fine mechanical/electrical product, EVERYTHING breaks, its just a matter of when. I just bought a 2007 Ford Fusion not more than 3 weeks ago and upon attempting to load my in-dash CD changer for the very first time to use it, on No need to buy the tool.

OBviously there are some exceptions, and I'm not 100% sure what models changed radios in what years, so ~97 is a good estimate, not a hard rule. I vote take it apart yourself and go Blaupunkt like 71 said.
