Thank-You. After restarting the machine, Windows would automatically generate the required registry configuration for the Event Manager and this solves the problem. I did discover thatthe Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2488113) seem to exasterbate the problem. The installer application never does anything. 3.
